The awesome Narrator
Lets be cool
This book was a very enjoyable book and to follow along with the audio provided a next level experience for me
Fantastic adventure that exisits within the larger Star Wars Universe without being held back by previous (and mostly bad) EU stories. Marc Thompson is always a treat.
It's a blatant oceans eleven homage, but really well done. Han and Lando in top form, with many callbacks to other Zahn and EU characters.
This was my first Star Wars audio book and it was surprisingly enjoyable. The sound effects and music clips were well-done, well-placed, and created stage-setting moods that augmented the experience nicely. The story is a fairly isolated episode, which means it likely has little influence on Star Wars canon, however the characters are so believable, the listener is left wanting future tie-ins with the overall Star Wars world. Additionally, the narrator is brilliant in his portrayal of the characters we already know, and he helps produce characters that are easy to identify with. Clearly he has put a great deal of planning into this production and it is so much more than an basic read-through.
Definitely a great book for any sci-fi fan.
Zahn is often noted for being the best author in the EU. Now, he tackles the heist genre, bringing his fair to the cunning treachery we expect of such stories. I highly recommend this one!
I love to read. I don't often talk about the ones I read but would love to change that.
Star Wars meets Ocean's Eleven. The performance was superb. And captured the characters well. Would read another one like this
With all you favorite shady scoundrels from the Trilogy in a almost Oceans Eleven feel in another fascinating SW Expanded Universe by Timothy Zahn. Excellent narration by Marc Thompson, of course!
