One of the best.
Mitch Rapp because every man would strive to be like Mitch.
No favorite, they are all great!
"Last Man" it says it all! I wish they would make this book into a film, it would be outstanding!
Great book that kept me driving around long after my trip, just so I could listen to the story! Vince Flynn will be missed.
Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this book and program. Sometimes a little "over the top," but completely engaging and entertaining. Liked the twists and turns, even though some were rather predictable. All in all, a good audition.
From Book 1 to 13, the Mitch Rapp saga has been everything that lover of this genre could wish for. The loss of Vince Flynn will send painful reverberations through the souls of the many fans of Mitch Rapp and his unapologetic patriotism and sense of duty. Last Man is filled with the up, down, and sideways twists and turns that we have come to love in these adventures. Tying in with previous storylines is a great added bonus. Knowing that we won't have Mitch Rapp to save the day, and George Guidall to bring him to life for us is almost as painful as what Mr. Rapp might do to us if he caught us being all melancholy regarding his departure.
RIP Vince Flynn & Mitch Rapp - you WILL be missed!!!
Very much so. The story twists on several fulcrum points that invoke imaginative creativity and had me developing possible scenarios in my head, only to find that I had traveled the wrong road.
Yes, and Mr. Guidall never disappoints.
No. I liked the breaks at certain intervals that allowed me to process the action to that point and try to determine what I anticipated as next steps. This was very much the fine wine, best savored slowly but steadily.
As with all of Vince Flynn books I have listened to it several times.
Fav character...really? Mitch Rapp
I was deeply saddened to hear the passing of Vince Flynn. He has provided countless hours of enjoyment. He truly was a great writer and will be sorely missed.
Once again Mitch Rapp is hurled into the breach of a National Security crisis and forced to cut through an environment of politically correct horse dung to get the job done! George Guidall is great once again as the narrator, his Stan Hurley is so real I could actually "see" what was happening. A great episode in Mitch Rapp's adventures.
More Stan Hurley & Mitch Rapp taking out the trash.
As I've mentioned, the Stan Hurley rendition is simply awesome and his grasp of the material and characters adds to listening enjoyment
The firefight where a long time Rapp ally & brother in arms is killed.
It's clear Vince was angling the French Assassin for a role in future novels as a Rapp ally as well. Sadly since Vince recently passed away from cancer we may never know how his or Mitch's story will end.
I don't give 5s a lot. Throwing 5s around makes it harder for others to distinguish what was good from what was great. For me 5s = top 2%.
I wouldn't know. Rediculous question. Who writes these questions?
The plot certainly moved along. I enjoyed how the book jumped between locations and characters. There were a few plot twists and they weren't far fetched like many other books of this type. I'm a big believer in realism, and this book never lost me.
I thought he did a good job keeping the voices different enough so that you did not get confused with the characters. He also did the women's voices and managed to pull it off without sounding dumb.
CIA in turmoil
This was my first book from the Mitch Rapp series and it was pretty good. I think I may check out some of the others. It's a shame the author has recently passed away.
I give this book straight 4s. Nothing that kept me up at night listening, but a solid effort.
Bring current events, ie. Osama bin gone and other things.
As great as the others. I like listening to Mr. Guidall. He's easier to listen to then NickSullivan.
If I didn't have to work I probably would, their that good.
Research needs to be done when giving descriptions of former and present characters. Size, weight, etc. Other wise every Vince Flynn book comes out, (Mitch Rapp) but anyotheralso I will listen to.
Yes - absolutely
It's a tie between Irene Kennedy and Mitch Rapp. Both were fascinating in how they handled stressful situations and the political back-stabbing.
Same as above.
Gripping from scene 1.
Would recommend to any friend.
No spoilers! Love HOT, sexy books w/a plot. No vampires, paranormal, teens 4 me. I also review in exchange for books-lots of fun surprises!
ALWAYS-Mitch Rapp-he is a hero!
Rapp 'toying' with the doctors after suffering a head injury AND when he delivers the title line, "I AM the last man..."
Packed full of adventure and action. The story line is simple yet complex at the same time. I'd have given higher stars perhaps I'm a bit overloaded with this genre.
Note: Strong language
