I haven't had a chance to finish this book and since I don't have much time to read, purchased the audible version. Engrossing and fun I actually played it much more then I thought I would. The readers did excellent with inflection and carrying accents. Truly enjoyed it!
I had read these books several times before listening to them. Reading and Kramer are wonderful storytellers who make you forget aren't listening to each individual character own voice. Though this body of work stands well enough on it's own, their narration gives even more life to a very well detailed plot.
I absolutely love this whole series! It has been a long few months getting through listening to all 14 of these books but it is so worth it! The characters are so dynamic and so easy to imagine through both the writing and the performance of the narrators, you become so attached they feel like family! I will be listening to this whole series again in the future!
Listen to all kinds, but mostly enjoy witty light-hearted entertaining reads. Stay away from romance novels & books with heavy violence.
Good series. Probably not something I would listen to again. Enjoyed the first few books in the series and then the last few books. The middle part of series seemed to drag on and on. No graphic violence, no bad language, no mushy details - you could listen to it with kids in the car without being concerned about what they will hear.
It wasn't my favorite, but the series finally ended.
Great story line, keeps you interested.
Great adventure, love, loss, and victory and more.
Book 14 should be revised it was rushed and really bad. the only issue in these booksis that there are too many books, plus how the series end, no body wants a ending like book 14. It was rushed really not finished well. To fall in love with the characters and root for them to end like it did wasn't right. Brought in things in the books or stories line ready should have been cut.
It is a rare story that is able to draw a reader thoroughly into its world, allowing them to feel as it they are experiencing and living alongside those whom the story unfolds around. Sharing the pain of their failures and loss; learning beside them as they grow, mature, and accept whom they are; digging in against apparently insurmountable opposition and finally reveling in their triumph. Perhaps it is because the Wheel of Time as a series was told on such an epic scale, with such descriptive detail that I found this to be the case for me.
The world Robert Jordan forged is truly immersive and the story he and Brandon Sanderson were able to share through the fantastic work of Michael Kramer and Kate Reading will stay with me for a long time. I found this final chapter to be a satisfying conclusion to the journey and would strongly recommend the series as a whole to any lover of epic fantasy.
