I loved the whole book from beginning to end
Gideon and Eva
the tag line would be the story line that dealt with Gideon and the stalker.
Eva expects Gideon to respond to her commands, but turns around and does the exact opposite of what she demands from Gideon. Gideon wouldn’t be able to stay at an important function because he would be constantly running after Eva in her controlling fits. Spoiler alert: Every character deceives by omission. Gideon doesn’t tell Eva anything, Eva’s roommate hides the fact that Eva’s ex is in town, Eva hides the existence of the ex from Gideon even when Gideon is going to be in the same room with the ex, Eva hides a visit with her father from her mother, and then hides the fact that both of her parents are in her apartment at the same time. Why all the lying and deceit? Talk about not communicating – cowards and manipulators all. For two books, Eva demanded that Gideon tell her everything – a constant tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me... The book finally gets to a point where Gideon is going to tell, and Eva says “You don’t have to tell me”. What’s up with that? At that point, a supposed serious moment turns out to be a joke. Then at the end, the book takes a turn where it would be difficult for the characters to recover – you see that a lot of times in TV shows or in a movie when something happens just to keep people watching or talking. Yeah, talking about how stupid that part of the story was. It just feels like the writer was desperate for ideas. I do listen to some book just to keep up with the latest craze, but I don’t always enjoy them.
YES.......I love the love story happening
All of them!
Yes I did....
Can't wait for the next book!!!!!!
Every boy should have two things: a dog, and a mother willing to let him have one. -Anonymous
The anticipation of waiting after loving the first book.
Fifty Shades of Grey to a 'T'.
One of the better voice artists in my opinion.
Yes, the actions he took to protect her.
Great book for those who became obsessed with this type of genre after 50 shades. I am on pins and needles waiting for book #3.
Gideon and Eva's romance continues and has a few twists and turns in there.
Eva goes through a whip lash of crazy emotions throughout this book and becomes kinda the crazy ex haha but I love it!
The ending of the book made me happy but now I can't wait for the 3rd book :D
Gideon, his character and flaws were believable.
Yes, Bared to you.
Love and War
Very good read! Can't wait for the next book.
A very good story line. Very well written. It keeps your drawn in.
They deep love that they share with one another. Words can not explain it. I really enjoyed how she stepped up and handled a lot of the things towards the end.
Like a literary version of “Iron Chef,” Sylvia Day (Crossfire series),*OWNS* E.L. James (Fifty Shades series). Sylvia Day uses the same basic ingredients: genre of books, demographics of characters, familiar story line, target market of readers) to demonstrate how *truly* skillful writing, elegant, deep, worthy-of-caring-about character development, artistically, well-constructed and timed plot development (similar to my favorite (Diana Gabaldon - "Outlander" series) from my preferred genre historical fiction). Ms. Day demonstrates a far more mature, skillful hand at the judicial and relevant use of heart-stopping, synapse-melting, um, er…”provocative and engaging literary devices" as well as a 10,000% better choice of a more gifted and professional narrator in the audio (Audible.com) version. These are intense page-turners, with ample sprinklings of opportunities to relieve the tension by laughing out loud and sharing introspection with the flawed, funny, complicated, engaging, and sympathetic characters. Just don’t listen and drive; you’ll find yourself driving off of a cliff. Maybe while running on a treadmill? 9-) Just remember to breathe. (Not for those who are uncomfortable with some explicit sexual situations or language, even though it is well done and critical to both character, plot, and conflict development). Highly recommended. Well done.
I still want to see what happens in book 3 - but it does seem as though book 2 was more of just treading water until we got to book 3. Why not go ahead and move the relationship forward in book 2 instead of just going through more of what seems the same as book 1?
Yes, as I said will still want to see what happens in book 3 but will probably wait for it to go on sale.
Narrator captures the characters well.
There are things that it seems should have happened in book 2 that will now have to wait for book 3.
Say something about yourself!
I Book two of the series was just as good as book one. Eva and Gideon relationship is strange since they mostly communicate when having sex and they both have issue they need to work on. Gideon Finally opens up to Eva about what happen to him as a child in the last few Chapters. Can't wait for book three I am addicted.
