Just the same drama and the same fights and the same make-up sex over and over...plus the narrator's voice when she does Gideon in the sex scenes was hilarious...not sexy
Yes. Its hot, funny, emotional, suspenseful. Did I mention its hot!?! I have read/listened to a couple of really good books...like FSOG and This Man series...this series...especially this book , is the hottest, sexiest, steamest by far.
The time they spent at the beach. I loved everything about that trip!
Jill Redfield's narration is great! I can't choose!! Eva and Gideon are obvious...so I will go with Carey!
I was VERY disappointed to realize this series is NOT a trilogy...but a series of 5...and the 4th book isn't even finished yet!! I was really looking forward to finding out what really happened in the end with Nathan.
I'm grateful for sex, so I can handle a fair amount of gratuitous sex in a book. But unless you're the person who watches porn and is still aroused by the 17th delivery man doing the housewife in the 14th position in 90 minutes, I doubt this book will do much for you. This felt entirely like a minimalist, thrown-together story line to try to rush out a book while Mommy porn is still a big seller.
Probably stick to her fantasy/futurist work, where there must surely be more of a story line than there was here.
I have not listened to any of Ms. Redfield's other performances, but she really gave it the best reading I think possible.
Nothing could have made this book a 4 star listening experience but if Justine Eyre would have narrated it at least I would have finished the book.
Usually Sylvia Day's books are great but this one felt like a "Fifty shades of grey"- wannabee..
This narrator was such a disappointment. Her voice is okay but the way she narrated the book was awful.
I have recommended this book, the entire series as a matter of fact. Book one was so good I couldnt imagine being disappointed by book 2, and I was not.
Honestly, my favorite thing about the series is the character of Gideon Cross. He is the embodiment of the perfect guy which is silly yes, but its great to just imagine.
My favorite scene...I dont really have one. Sadly, I loved every minute of it
What moved me most about this book is we see how hard these 2 characters firght to stay together while their past kept pulling them apart...Gideon fights so hard to keep his girl no matter the consequences...it sweet.
Ok first book had me rolling my eyes at the 50 shades knock off especially when she keeps bring up the dominate angle, but Sylvia puts more depth into her characters. At one point it almost killed me, thought. The emotional crap that you have to wade through to get to the gritty details will leave you angry at points. There were points where I wanted to give up or slap Eva but Silvia leaves enough mystery to make me want to know more. Why!!!!!? is what kept me coming back for more and at the end I didn't regret it. Sooooo good worth it in the end.
Her realization of true love where least expected
I can't say....truly
No 50 shades necessary!
Couldn't wait to start the 3rd book!
Most definitely! Won't be able to put them down - guaranteed!
The male voices. Unnecessary and completely took away from the characters. Hard to take them seriously.
I don't usually listen to books more than once, so probably not
I felt like FSoG had too much sex, honestly. It was the same thing over and over again. I loved the story in this one, loved the characters, and thought it was a great story line. Can't wait for the next books.
English is not my mother tongue but I speak quite well because of the experience I have of the language.
Perhaps I wouldn't like my friends to know I read erotic novels and it wasn't something that might benefit their language learning as much as some other book.
I have only read the first book almost to the finish and starting the second one didn't spoil me anything from the end of the first book.
They should have got a mail voice to do Gideon Cross maybe but at least she didn't groan and moan in the sex scenes. I guess she had the right kind of performance in those situations of the book.
It wasn't too long. Might not read it again the last thing and first thing in the morning because I had some powerful sexual dreams
I need to find something else to listen to. This was just something I haven't really read before so it might keep my interest up
