Yes! The story line through the series is great and the characters are so diverse!
I enjoyed the trilogy overall. I loved getting to know the characters in the stories and seeing the progress on the buildings go on over the course of the three books. I enjoyed the overarching storyline of the ghost Lizzy and her Billy. Things were a bit predictable but as it is a Nora Roberts book, I pretty much knew what to expect. The narrator, while having great male voices, has pretty bad female voices and absolutely terrible kids voices. The kids voices only really bothered me so much in the first book, where they were a bigger part of the story. Overall, I would listen to the trilogy again.
By the time you get to this book in the series, you're so in love with the characters, the Inn and with the Montgomery family. It was fun to watch the layers melt away and the back story of Lizzie and Billy come to light. Loved it!
There's a scene where "perfect" Hope gets Rider with the garden hose - hilarious, especially when his brother finds out.
I loved how he read the men's character's voices - very charming.
I've listened to this series a couple times now and absolutely love it - I would love for the story to keep on going!!
Love audible. Great for my family, we listen together sometime.
I would recommend and I have. It is a feel good book. Makes you think there is a special someone out there just for you.
Ryder going to bat for Hope. He was so manly. Not losing an inch in his way of thinking.
Avery and Owens.
Justin who had much love for all. No judgment of any one - just love.
Just to ask Ms Roberts to keep them coming girl.....
I'm in the middle of Robyn Carr's Virgin River. Love it.
I enjoyed the first book, liked the second, and listened as the third book dragged on and on about ghosts. The wrap up of the main characters was enjoyable and the reader was well suited to the text, but the ghost stuff was awful. I mostly forwarded through it.
Ryder and Hope's story was the perfect ending to the trilogy. Figuring out how everything from the first book until now played a part in all their lives. Not sure exactly what to say. Ms. Roberts out did herself with Hope and Ryder as well as with the entire Montgomery family and the people of Boonsboro. Everyday hard working people trying to make it and along the way find long ago past family, friends and additional ties. Small town life at its best.
Ryder was my favourite character, he was rough around the edge and required taming and hope was just the character to do it.
Thoroughly enjoyed The Perfect Hope and the entire Inn Boonsboro Trilogy. Although predictable, the writing was wonderful and the narration made the books. Couldn't wait to get back to these books and fell in love with the characters. Wish there were more!
The character development, everything they did was something you would expect from their personalities, great story line as well.
Hope, she was realistic, charing, and you could relate to what she was feeling very well.
Love happens, even when it's unwanted
Great listen, I would recommend to friends and family.
I love books but dont have time to read them as much anymore. Listening to Audibles since Day One I've been become an addict...I love books that are mainstream popular, whether it be fiction or non-fiction. I'll usually pick my books by reviews. Come check out my reviews to find your next favorite audible!
This one was going to be my favorite as I had a feeling Hope's ex was going to resurface. I disagree with some of the other reviewers about how Clare had her book and this should be dedicated to Hope. I love the way the old characters are still around and it definately added to the story in my opinion. I also love how we hear about Clare's pregnancy, Avery's moving in with Owen to get married and how Ryder and Hope's chemistry kind of started out in Avery's book. We also learn that Lizzy and Hope are related.... =P Anyways, great listen and I'll be looking for more NR books to listen to in the future.
