The book was boring because there was nothing new. It is simplistic and general in scope. I agree with the majority of it but I was looking for some Ah Ha moments but there were none. It was common sense but unfortunately people do not always follow common sense.
Like many books it could easily be written in 10 pages.
I loved the book and have listened to it several times. The many area covered regarding the brain gave me a lot of new hope as I have had 2 brain surgeries. The concepts were well laid out with anecdotes to help you really understand. My mother has dementia and instead of constant fear that I will get it as well, there are constructive ideas that you can do to keep your brain sharp!
This book is packed with ideas that forced me to contemplate the various ways in which In have been limiting my own potential! There is no way that I can just listen to this book once and just check it off my list. I know I will return to this book many many times before I fully embrace the knowledge that it contains. Definately a must listen for anyone on the path to expand their consciousness.
the parts I took away:
are you using your brain or is your brain using you?
the examples that demonstrate the power of the mind to influence the brain and its workings on the body
the excerpts/quotes from other scientists
for my liking a little bit too much Sanskrit and Alzheimer's which in light of the authors' expertise is to be expected.
overall really liked the book and the performance of the narrator
it helped me to strengthen my pursuit in healing
