3 & 1/2 stars really. I liked this book but it was like I was always "waiting" for something even though there was a lot going on & lots of action
2 guys; no love triangle. I loved Cam. I think he was my fave! His antics and obnoxious attitude kept me reading. I will probably read the rest of the series at some point
The family in the series is so funny And Will Have You rolling, will make you Mead, and then awwwwwwing the next second.
I love the action, romance, and humor. Great story.
Darynda Jones' Charley Davidson series is one of my absolute favorite book series. So I was very interested to see how I was going to like her young adult series. It's not Charley Davidson but it is a ton of fun. I felt like this book did a lot of build up for the other books in the series instead of jumping into and having a complete story in and of itself. However, Lorelei has a lot of the same sarcasm that Charley has and I totally see similarities between other characters in the Charley Davidson series and this series. Of course, that could be just because both series use the same narrator, Lorelei King. As usual, Lorelei King does a fantastic job with this audiobook.
There were a lot of repetitive scenes Ex. the boys fighting over the same thing over and over.
The car crash had the WOW factor, but it was kinda slow going after that.
The last scene when they realized that their families knew about all of the supernatural stuff happening was a little different.
I enjoyed the humor that she put into the book and would love to see this come out more. For example, in her Charlie Davison books I love everything about them from the characters, to the humor, to the script.
The cheer leader "she who's name will not be mentioned", did not play a very big part in the story. Not sure if her role is needed.
I thought that Darynda did a great job in descriping the characters and getting the audience to identify with them.
I enjoyed listening, certainly worth the time.
I wouldn't recommend it to my friends, maybe to their teenage kids.
She has great sound inflections that allow you to easily determine which character is speaking.
An avid audible book listener!
A younger Charlie Davidson series, only in reverse?
Love that the main character is named after the narrator! Concidence, I think not! Love the characters.... from Cameron to Glitch, the guys are a lot of
fun. Lorelei and Brook are very much like Charlie and Cookie, only in reverse. There's an innocence in these characters that is really refreshing.
Because of Lorelei's portrayal of Reyes Farrow, the listener is going to be drawn to Jared.
There are several high points in the story that are compelling, but not overly emotional.
Definitey entertaining and worth the listen... the time flew by and I still wanted more:)
Ok, here's the thing.... LOVE the Darynda/Lorelei combo! They created Chalie, and I love Charlie. This book... well, If you loved this book you will (crazy) love the Charlie Davidson series. If you don't like this book, you might still cray love the Charlie Davidson series.
The plot line and love story is a bit... Disjointed. Yet...the book is enjoyable and very funny.
AMAZING! CREEPY (but not in a scary way) Amazing! (oh wait I said that already...AWSOME!! :)
I love Lorelei King! Thats the main reason why I listened to this book. Her voice is amazing & I love how she gets into the story! You don't want to stop listening when she is the one reading the story! :)
Lorelie's narration of this book not so good. Main character is 16, she sounded like a 50 year old smoker. Hard to connect to characters.
Come up with something more original
Her interpretation - which I love. Also time, which I don't have a lot of. With audio, I can multi-task
No - It just didn't grip me like Darynda's other series did. After her grave series, I just found this book to be somewhat a poor reproduction. It wasn't exactly the same but too many characteristics to call it completely original. I didn't care for the teen aspect of the book either
