Information Technology and Magic is not my favourite combination for a story concept. Seems a bit too try hard.
It still is a light-hearted listen without the need to concentrate too hard, so reasonably enjoyable. I didn't enjoy it as much as the others in the series.
Myst/thrillers and ✨fun fantasies✨are my favorites but always open for a good story.
Pretty cute, light read combining magic and computer coding. I was touched by the close, loving family bond that threaded throughout this bright listen. There is inventive interaction between the characters which is carried out nicely considering their ages range from very young to elderly.
The narration was good but my mind kept wondering off. Not a constant attention keeper but a light enough story. The beginning and ending we're better than the middle.
I really enjoyed the voice changes and sound. It make the book come alive.
This whole series is entertaining and had just enough humor in it to keep me wanting to know what was going to happen next.
I really enjoyed all of the characters but I think Lauren is my favorite. Can't imagine what it would have been like to be in the situation she ended up in.
Love Star Trek
Since I gobbled up the first book the Modern Witch and loved it sooo much. I pretty much bought everything that's available on the series! That's how much I liked it.
This book follows the first book and shows more of the world of the Modern witches. It goes into more about the family and the relationship surrounding them. The concept of the hidden "witch" talent here is very modern and interesting. Made me want to play the game! The additional characters further introduced here and were just glimps in the first book, give extra warmth and depth!
LOVE the series.
I had to stop listening because the narrator's whiny, patronizing voice was driving me crazy. The book is narrated as if it is being read to inattentive 1st graders. It is difficult to enjoy any of the experience when you don't enjoy the narrator.
I love audible to listen to my books while commuting in the SF Bay Area. It makes the time go by so fast and keeps me engrossed.
Seemed a little too long and integrated by previous story. hard to follow if you haven't read earlier books.
The 2nd book finally had a couple elements to help move the story along (lost brother, stroke) but 95% was fluff. The "new power" seems a bit too easy..
Good clean book with lots of love.... But it is just lacking enough to miss the mark. Either needs more comedy (Like Bewitched) or a hurdle where the solution isn't too easy (some type of consequence to magic, or an evil to overcome).
I use audiobooks as means of an escape from reality. Nice to just relax with a book. Ienjoy a very eclectic array of genres...anywhere from chick lit romance to mystery to science ft. Just a common mother of three.
I read the first book, a modern witch, and really enjoyed it. A good light read, so thought I would like this one, but no, just was really lacking, not too mention that I just hate technically computer lingo. Big boring snore. Story did not flow well.
Yes. I have yet to find a great witch book. I will eventually try again.
She was good, it was not the narrator that made me give up.
All the coding and take out, well just a weird storyline, have to change a lot.
Just too blah for me.
A refreshing new look on magic and modern culture. Definitely not your usual magical read.
This book, as a part of a much larger series, is filled with deep characters that are so real they could step off the page. However, my favorite thing with each book in this series is the deep feeling of joy and contentment I feel during and after I read them. Thank you Debora Geary. I own all the books you have written thus far and will continue to buy them all both in Kindle and Audible formats.
