I'm an avid reader/listener very eclectic in my books. From classics too erotica to young adult, I love paranormal, futuristic and fantasy.
Wonderful, thrill ride
Sorry i won't say I hate spoilers.
I loved there portrayals. I love to close my eyes and see it the story unfold.
Yes, I unfortunately started at night the first time i listened so I had to stop it took 2 sittings. The second time I started in the morning. I did all my work while listening.
This is a classic case of don't judge a book by its cover, or dumb title. I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't help it. I hated that most of the male characters read like grade A misogynists, but don't worry the dolls have claws.
In the best of ways, this story was like nothing I had ever read before. It's a dystopian/end of days adventure with intrigue, a taste of romance, mystery and a supernatural appeal. It also has a touch - just a touch of horror thrown in to make the book well rounded and believable as to why the characters did what they did. I found it hard to put down, because I never found a lull in the edge-of-my-seat excitement. The narrator did an amazing job of bringing this tale to life. I highly recommend that you listen to this one!
I love this book. such a fun idea, written well and performs and amazingly. kept me entertained the whole way through so much that I bought the second book before the book ended.
This book and series is well written and superbly narrated. I love the creativity of the story and how I have come to feel so strongly for the characters and torn for the relationships. Descriptions and details keep the story alive in my mind. This isn't one of those books with dry spots, so plan to be enthralled by the adventure!
An epic adventure.
Well aside from our lead female character, I'd actually like Finn. In light of everything, his character remains comical and rolls with each situation by easing the whole "End of Everything Good" to a continued read. If not, the bleak out look of their lives would seem tragic and pointless to continue to the next book.
Keith Nobbs wasn't bad but Emma Galvin's ability to incorporate several different characters leaves them all equally favoritable. Cajan (sp) French - Jack, Irish- Joules, Cali surfer dude - Finn, Aric the old Hungarian (or was that Romanian?), and even Evie our Louisianna fille are some of the accents she does well.
From book to T.V., Arcana Chronicals comes to the big screen.
Although talanted Emma Galvin is good, she's slower on the delivery (but can you really blame her-multi accented characters. Best listened to at higher speeds. I enjoy listening to this at either 1.25 or 1.50 x speeds.
I loved getting to know the characters and being able to listen while I am at work.
Jackson is who I love, the misunderstood guy from the poor side of town
I love hearing the strong Cajun accents
yes, I would stay up late to finish all of Kresley Cole's books at once
I would love to have this entire series in audible
