Excellent narration, loved the evil voice of Arthur, and the main voice of Evie was fantastic, and performed all of the different accents well.
Great story, have to admit I went into this blind, and was surprised. It was not what I expected. Dystopian. Post apocalyptic. Zombies (bagmen). Survival. Magic.
A great story, great world building, great character development.
I don't usually write reviews but man was this book amazing. I loved it a lot I'm a big fan of Kresley Cole from this series since it was the first book of this author that I read and I couldn't put it down I found myself at home walking everywhere with my headphone in. It starts of a little teenagerish in the beginning but works it was up very fast. It was amazing and I would DEFINITELY recommend this book to anyone else. I ended up listening to all 3 books withing 2 days and am trying to patiently await the 4th book. It is a book that really reels you in straight from the beginning and keeps you there. From reading this book I ended up getting hooked into every book from this author. So far I have read at least a couple books from every series she has and find myself getting withdrawals every now and then if I stray a bit too long.
When I discovered Audible it was like discovering love :-) I love receiving codes and in return I post reviews. Wife, and mom of two,
I listened to all three stories in The Arcana Chronicles and the first is still My favorite. The author shows just how talented she is and her imagination truly shows in the creation of this story. The narrator did a magnificent job, especially with Jack's voice. I loved the accent that Jack has.
I enjoyed listening to the book while doing other activities. On its own I'd probably have found the book a bit too boring.
The readers where alright, but again I've heard much better.
Generally I quite like this genre of books, but this one just did not impresse me that much. I doubt that I'll continue the series.
I enjoy the book it started a little slow in a little confusing but once I got past that I'm glad I continued listening already bought the next book looking forward to see how it continues
I loved this book! It's one of those rare gems that make you want to stay up all night reading. There is some language, so I wouldn't recommend it for younger than seventeen years old. Other then that, it's amazing!
It took me about 3 chapters to get into this book. it was hard to get where the author was going. When I finally realized what was going on, I was hooked. The story is quite original. I thought the author's grasp of character building was paced perfectly. There was never a time that I thought one of the characters acted in a way a normal person wouldn't.
I've never listened to one of Emma Galvin's narrations before. For the first couple of chapters it took my awhile to get used to her voice, but now I am looking forward to hearing her rendition of the next book in this trilogy.
A must read/listen to book!
