The detail of information is outstanding. A well-rounded history of a popular story. The authors did not push an agenda.
Assuming the author is representing facts (which was clearly expressed by the author/narrator), it was intriguing to hear what kind of people ran the country for a short period of time. While a lot of good occurred, could the Kennedy Administration have gotten away with the flashy and "loose" lifestyle today, considering today's intrusive and relentless political coverage? Does this go on now, but administrations are better at covering it up? We may not know for years to come, if ever.
Remembering where I was during the events
Jackie Kennedy, she was young, yet so strong behind the scenes and endured the lost of children and her husband.
His voice is awesome; love his reading of the book
Number one! What a revealing book, many things we never heard when Kennedy was in office. Great storytelling by O'Reilly!
Killing Lincoln of course!
I liked Jackie Kennedy, Bill makes her very likeable!
My husband and I listened to this book together during our vacation. I much prefer the audio as we had an opportunity to share memories and thoughts. A much more enriching experience than if we had read the book independently. We had some great conversations during our trip about those times.
I was 14 when the President was elected and 16 when he was killed. At the time I believe I was fairly well informed about current events. This book provided me with additional insight that I have found fascinating.
There was no easy place to take a break. The book flows so well that the end of each chapter left me anxious to continue. This is an experience that normally comes with a thriller novel -- not nonfiction.
I wish my grandchildren were a little older. 6 is a little young. I would love to have had the opportunity to share this history lesson with them as well as my memories about that time in my life.
I'm a 4th generation native of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. A beautiful, Victorian era village located in the midst of the Ozark Mountains. I love history and in fact I am a tour guide and somewhat of a local historian.
Revealing, emotional, educational
I like his voice. He is very clear and easy to understand, and since he co-authored it, he knows just where to accentuate words and phrases.
Not necessarily. It was good at the pace I listened to it.
Near the top.
Bill has a knack for this.
This book goes great with "Killing Lincoln".
Yes! Fascinating manner of presentation and the Bill did and excellent job....Voice clear and enjoyable.
The feeling of being "there" as it was told!
Yes! Even better than the Lincoln book! And it was Great!
Yes! When driving it makes time just fly by....even when stuck on the Freeway!
Keep these wonderful clarifications of history coming!
no. i like audio books better but bill o'rielly is boring to listen to. i wish he would have someone else read his books. the content is great, the presentation not so much.
jfk because he is the story, however i learned some very interesting facts about jackie.
yes. killing lincoln and again great content but not so great presentation.
the secret service agents concern for protecting jackie from harm.
please talk bill into having someone else read his books!!!
Top of the chart in narration and content!
Killing Lincoln writer and narration
He has only 60 more days to live...
Bill and his co-author did an excellent job with this book. While the subject matter has been well covered, they bring an interesting perspective to this horrible event. There wasn't much new in terms of factual information but definitely worth reading. I would probably have preferred a professional reader rather than Bill. I highly recommend the book.
