I want more!
Lust! Passion! Places they visited.OMG everything about this book was mesmerizing. Beautiful full of anticipation.
Gabriel of course.
The love they had for one another. The changes Gabriel made, the need and want to change.
The best book ever. I couldn't put it down. Now i crave more and can't find any that comes close. Please hurry, put that creative head together and give me something to read again.
Deborah E. Alexander
The intensity and being made to feel every feelings of the characters.
I cannot pick just one moment, the entire book is addictive from beginning to end.
Yes, it made me do both! I loved it!
I am starting the second in this series and I hope for a third and fourth to come! Brilliant and Masterfully written!
Gabriel's whispering hot sweet naughty things in Julia's ears. Only from a poet could it be conceivable a man would say such things. It built suspense enough that it was almost a let down to return to the banality of the act itself. I honestly could have done without the final sex scenes.
I don't think I am going to read the second book, I am afraid it will mar the romanticism with too much explicitness.
This book is way too long. And I found myself switch chapters when descriptions of the heroine's shyness came up. The author spelled out every emotion, do we really need this? I went through the whole book, but should have just close it. Not worth my time. Unfortunately, I already bought the sequel when I started this book, on the basis of the first few chapters which at the time seemed inviting.
If all her book are this long and pretentious, then no!
It's Twilight minus sparkling vampires. The two main characters are so very unreal. Juliana is a weak, niave, throws fits when men can't read her mind, and focuses on making Gabriel the love of her life, rather than her expensive education. Gabriel is a popmus, designer label stamped ass who thinks worldy women are non-persons to be used for sex only and hates himself for having a lebito. He puts Juliana on a pedestal for her "purity and innocence" and is lothed to corrupt her with his beastly ways. Juliana is a fragile simp who is scarred for life because her ex-boyfriend likes Nine Inch Nails and said he wanted to f**k her like an animal. I want to vommit.
I would have skipped pages and pages of silly internal dialog on how perfect Gabriel's voice and eyes are and how angelic Juliana is. Unfortunately, skipping is a little hard for an audio book.
Don't waste your time. I'm glad I only spent 5 dollars.
this is a great book how he takes care of her and loves her.
the way they met when they were teens and how they meet now and he had no clue.
my first time I think he was good.
Tell us about yourself!
I have This book holds a special place in my heart because of its characters and its plot.
It was the right book for me I do hope that it will be the same for you
Gabriel's Inferno was such a beautiful, moving, romantic, maddening story, and I'm just absolutely in love with Gabriel Emmerson!!! Oh, yes, he starts out as such a complete ass, and there were many times I wanted to either slap Julia for holding on to her feelings for so long when he's such a jerk, or slap him for not waking up and realizing who she was and just taking her into his arms forever!! You see, Gabriel and Julia met 6 years ago for one brief night when she was young and innocent, but those hours that they shared bearing their souls and holding each other moved them both beyond words. When a misunderstanding finds them both alone and wondering why, they both go about their lives trying to put the impossible behind them. When Julia ends up in Gabriel's graduate class, she is heartbroken when she realizes he not only doesn't recognize her, but he's also a complete jerk. As the walls slowly come crumbling down, Gabriel's feelings for Julia go beyond the student-professor boundaries,
no but this man has a sexy voice wow !!!!
oh yes i laugh & cry
It's hot, exciting, and arousing
Fifty shades. He thinks he knows what's best but in the long run it's the love of a special women
Gabriel of course. He proved he'd do anything to protect the one he loved
Made me cry and laugh
The love story!!!!
Gabriel of course!!!! I am in love with this man!
I couldn't put the book down. It is the romance that does it for me....the tender moments. Absolutely breathtaking.
Nothing at all!!!!
This is the most romantic book I have ever read......couldn't wait to start the second book. My only disappointment is there is not a third book. I want a third book!!!
This book is an intensely emotionally and intellectual experience. I am typically more of a non-fiction reader, but SR has converted me to fiction-- his fiction. He has weaved a story of passion and intellectual gratification that is breathtaking. He proves that true sensuality is in the character development and not in graphic sex scenes (which are noticeably absent until the very end and even that scene is more sensual than sexual.) He takes his time, not rushing scenes, developing every sentence into poetry (no pun intended), every discussion of Dante a university-level lecture, just perfection. If you ever sat in a grad seminar and found the intellectual stimulation a turn-on (especially if the professor is hot) you will love this book. SR speaks with a "male voice" which makes the story even more tantalizing -- a man wrote this amazing book, apparently. His humor made me laugh out loud -- as much as the pain in these characters made me cry my eyes out.
Well, we all love the Professor. He's stunning to look at, but also stunningly broken. He's brilliant, he's sexy, he's insecure, he's articulate, and he's struggling to get what he wants regardless of the cost (to him or to Julia). He's dark for sure, but not so dark that you can't feel a connection with him. He's the perfect fantasy man. This guy knows how to adore a woman!
I fell in love with John Morgan's voice. He is a gem-- and has made the listening experience intimate from the first sentence to the last. Who is this man??? What a perfect complement t SR's writing.
No, because I listened to Inferno and Rapture all in one weekend. I needed a few hours to sleep and eat, but I couldn't wait to get back to it. And I've listened to both books several times since.
I have recommended this book to many friends and co-workers and they all loved it. It has generated some very interesting lunch conversations. I patiently wait for the third book -- I know that SR will not disappoint me.
