After all the hype I've heard about it over the years, I expected more. It was controvertial in its time, but now it is old hat
Retired evidently sounds better than disabled.. It's a knee thing. Bone on bone, baby. Not a good candidate for surgery (health issues)..
Was not as expected. Too much critique at the first about other authors. Confused why they did not include the last stated chapter.
Did not seem complete.
Not any others from this person.
Kind of bored, unhappy.
Be very aware...
Authentic passionate story. Quite a perspective from which to view life. A very different culture. Strangely seductuve.

I read this a long time ago and was intrigued by the book. Lost the book and was thrilled to find it as an audible book. Listened to the book once so far, but will listen again. Still hard for me to understand what people will do to others. Lambs to the slaughter.

Tell us about yourself! Love to listen to jazz, r/b and listen to erotic or a good paranormal sci-fi and " good narration is everything"
It was the voice of the narrator. It was the most boring, dragging put you to sleep. Finally after three tries," I SAY THE HELL WITH IT".
It's just outdated and strange. There are some good parts, but really, it's like a museum piece.
I always love this narrator. But I'd rather listen to her read anything else than this awful book.
