Sweet, tender, heartwarming
That in the end, the two clans overcome their animosity because they have found a common cause worth fighting for.
That she didn't overdo it in trying a Scottish accent.
Say something about yourself!
yes. the story is very charming and touching.
first time he tells her he loves her.
I will listen to this one again.
Now this is what a romance novel is supposed to be.
The story was simply enchanting.
The narration was superb. The Scottish accent wasn't over used and did not detract from the story.
Absolutely credit worthy.
I actually cried....
When she got on a horse to save Graham
Rory the little sister added great side characterization to enhance the plot
The HEROs kind and has a loving heart. Also the HEROINs ability to read lips.
The Narrator brought the Characters to life. Her accents were GREAT!
When Eveline screamed NO!
The narrator was absolutely amazing with the different characters. She brought them to life! Thank You!
The narration is amazing!!!
All of it really I didn't want it to end.
When he tells her he loves her and makes sure she hears him.
Same as above.
Love to Read!! Everything
One of the top romance stories I have listen to or read.
The point where Eveline speaks for the first time since her accident....or rathers screams.
The voices....it is perfect. She handled the actors mood and tones great!!!
I love the point where she (Eveline) rescues Graeman, and the point where he discovers her missing and knows how much he loves her.
It is a great story where the heroine has a disability and the hero admires her for overcoming and living in spite of it.
I love Epic Fantasy....have become a Historical Romance fan because I am a sucker for a good Happily Ever After. Good characters are a must
Yes. This book has a TWIST. All of the books in the Montgomery and Armstrong series seem to have the same element of a character with a "difference" (don't want to give it away because I was pleasantly shocked!). Eveline is a terrifically thought out and written character. Her interactions with all the other characters make this a fun and impossible to pause listen.
Banks's In Bed With A Highlander....... Strong Laird not expecting to fall in love with the bride he is "forced" to marry. That's an overwhelming theme in most Highland Romance books, but Banks does such a good job with adding and twisting the "same ol' same ol'" until it is new.
It also has it's steamy scenes...but not quite as hot and steamy as In Bed with a Highlander.
Still the very best there is! She makes me lose myself in every book she narrates. She is the PERFECT ACCENT narrator. They ALL sound real and so believable. Men and women and children alike... She is THE BEST!
There were a few moments that I smiled and laughed and cried....but my favorite is when Rory and Eveline are moving Evelines things down the hall.....wonderful scene.
One thing I will say...and the only real negative comment is that this book is NOT named very well. I think the name could have been more thought out and have more meaning to the direction of the story....but that's a petty complaint I know! While the Montgomery and Armstrong Series is WONDERFUL....it is not quite as good as Banks's McCabe Series. The McCabe Series is my all time favorite....Montgomery and Armstrong series is a close second! Banks is BRILLIANT! I wish she wrote only highland romances because she does them so perfectly.
Enchanting, Loving, Champions
Evaline, a true champion of any clan and a true champion of their hearts.
She has found voices for everyone. They are all different, and easy listening.
Yes, I couldn't stop. I was very hesitant to purchase this, but was I wrong it was very enjoyable and have already recommended to a friend.
Looking forward to book 2
This is my first book by Maya Banks. I can see why so many women like this book. However, it is way to cheesy for me. I usually don't mind cheesy romance novels as long as they are paranormal and sci-fi.
Kirsten Potter is absolutely fantastic, as usual.
