The novella by Molly Harper was the best. I love her. I really disliked the first story - I skipped it after 3 chapters.
Jessica Sims & Katie MacAlister's stories need different narrators.
None are as good as Amanda Ronconi, who usually does Molly Harper's books. Abby was best of the three, with different voices for each character. But as I've heard Amanda's versions of voices for the same characters they still bugged me.Leah had a terrible time doing men's voices. And Sophie has these long pauses between words during some of the more... intimate scenes and it just bugged me. The pauses were too long to really fit, they hurt the flow.
Not all of it. After 3 chapters I skipped the first novella. All of the Molly Harper story was great. And the last story was okay, not amazing, but okay. Honestly I only listened to it because I was tiling my kitchen and didn't have anything else to listen to. But I did finish it when I had other options.
As I wanted to hear the tory about Sam and Tess, it was worth the credit. But if I weren't a Molly Harper fan I wouldn't have gotten it and I wouldn't have missed much.
So this book is 3 short stories. I gave the story 3 stars just because I didn't really care for 1 of the stories. But other than that, everything else was great!!! All the narrators were really good!!!
In fairness, I only "read" the Molly Harper portion. But I sorely missed Amanda Ronconi narrating for her!
I loved the story. I'd love to see her explore some of her other characters from Half-Moon Hallow in the future. Jolene? Jamie? Ophelia (yes please!)?
with different narration. I just couldn't get into the story because the main narrator's voice and pronunciation were annoying. I didn't listen past the second chapter.
Different voice, better pronunciation, inflection
I wasn't able to get far enough into the story to know.
absolutely no one! the 1st and 3rd books made me want to puncture my own eardrums!! god awful writing and someof the worst narration I have ever suffered through!
Harper absolutely! the other two, probably, under pain of violent death! their stories were beyond bad. these stories were the first time I wanted the main character to die early in the story.
reading the first book was bad, but it was nowhere near the agony I felt during the third story! Even suspension of disbelief was not enough to protect me from these awful works. If it weren't for Harper's story this would have been unbearable.
Not having either of the 2 books included with Molly Harper's story--which is actually available stand-alone. As there is no information re: which stories are being presented, it turned out to be a huge let-down, plus the last story--by Jessica Sims--was impossibly insipid and performed in an unbelievably irritating style...!
Don't waste your money on this collection--just get Molly Harper's story by itself.
I am a retired Court Reporter and I LOVE books. All kinds of books but my favorites are mysteries and period books. I like civil war books and some biographies.
It was horrible. The narrator was absolutely the worst I've ever heard. I hated all of it. I can't find a single thing good about it.
Never trust anyone who doesn't enjoy reading.
Molly Harper, you never disappoint me! Sexy, fun, hilarious and intriguing!
Molly Harper's sense of humor of course!
The narration was pretty good.
Shades of Gray was decent but not great.
I really didn’t care for Out With a Fang at all.
If it wasn’t for Undead Sublet I wouldn’t have like this audiobook at all.
Mother of teenaged bear, Wife to chaos, Warrior
I'd recommend it with the warning, it's not their best work.
Disappointment. I was hoping for so much more and I felt they didn't really pull it off.
