Duh. It's The Hobbit.
He's very good at giving each character a different voice (which given the size of the cast is remarkable). His narrating voice is pleasant to hear without becoming droning background noise.
Really, the only downside is that I still have the movie voices and music in my head, and Mr. Inglis performs them differently, so it creates a bit of dissonance. Very good narration overall, and SO happy I bought this!
I read along in the book and I wish the audio had been word for word as was in the book. It didn't change to much but I did get confused at times with the differences. Overall it was a very good reading.
My sons, now grown, have asked me to read The Hobbit for years! When I told them I had begun, they said, "Now you will understand us in a whole new way!" They were right. Best audible yet!!!
I did not choose to buy this book until after finishing the Lord of the Rings. I was not sure which version to buy until I found that Rob Inglis also narrated this one. That sold me and I recommend that you keep him as your narrator through the entire Middle Earth experience.
Greatly exceeded expectations. Exceptional performance.
Narrator does an excellent job of personifying characters with differing voices. If not exactly my musical taste, it was lovely to hear someone sing Tolkien's songs.

Great story, likeable characters, and well read. I listened to this before watching the final Hobbit movie. The book did not differ much from the first two movies, in fact the movies had more content than the book did.
If you like the movies you will like this audiobook.
