I like this series, I hope there is more on the way. It is fun, sexy and makes a woman proud to be a woman. Thank you Kyra Davis, keep them comeing!
Yes, I am a fan of this series. this book was not my favorite
Maybe clear the mis-understanding up sooner, and not have her whine the first part of the book. This book for me was painful to get through.
I think the narrator was fine as always. It was this book
Yes, this cast of characters are still some of my favorites
I have no idea who possibly enjoy this book, boring, flat, the characters sound as if they are on tranquilizers...
Her voice was so flat!!! It sounded so monotone
All of them!
For the first time I did not finish a book, I couldn't stand it any longer!
Sofie and her friends in Vegas - just as fun as you'd expect! Gabra Zackman continues to add to the draw of this series with her great delivery of Kyra Davis' newest installment.
I have listened to this whole series and I think Gabra Zackman's skills as a narrator have really improved. I had trouble distinguishing the characters in the first book but no trouble at all in this one. I have enjoyed this series and am sure I will listen to it again.
Can hardly wait for the next one!
I really like Marcus and his dry wit!
If you've listened to any of the books in this series, you'll know what to expect...a good mystery, complete with humor, strong female characters and a little bit of sex thrown in for good measure. If you haven't listened to the series and want a fun, easy book, start with the first in the series: Sex, Murder and a Double Latte. Although they're all stand alone books on their own, I always like to start at the beginning of a series. The narrator has a habit of lowering her voice an octave or two at the end of sentences, which was a bit disconcerting, but I would recommend the books to anyone in the mood for a fun, light book.
I was mad at Kyra Davis for waiting so long to publish a new Sphie Katz's book. All is forgiven. This latest addition to the series is just as funny as the other books. I bought the Kindle version first, but I had to add the audio version to my collection. It is worth a read or a listen.
I love the Sophie Katz books, but it seems like it's been a while since the last one. When this new installment began with the same characters and their hallmark traits, I was afraid the Sophie series had gone stale. Wrong! This is Kyra Davis at her best. Fun plot twists, fascinating new characters who we may hear from again, laugh-out-loud dialogue, and a spot-on narration by Gabra Zackman -- I can't imagine anyone else doing these voices. Brilliant!
Nurse, mom, loved to read....but now I love to listen. When I retire I hope to hear waves crashing in 1 ear and audible in the other!
Very little action, slow paced and just plain boring...I dozed off at times.
This is my first Sophie Katz "mystery" and will probably be my last, there is just so much better out there.
I don't recall listening to this narrator before and I usually remember someone who gives an awesome performance, so if I have heard her before she did not make an impression, but I will say she did a pretty good job.
There was a lot of dead time that I just zoned out on...I don't know what could have made it better.
I suppose. If you are a huge fan of this series you should certainly read it. But, if you are new, I'd recommend starting with the first book.
No. This book just felt different from the others. The characters all seemed so off. Specifically the main character Sophie. I had a real problem with her security issues, which made the story so weak and very annoying. The character is supposed to be such a strong and independent woman, and this story made her seem weak and too dependent on others, mainly men.
I love Gabra Zackman! She's so great and nails it as Sophie Katz.
No. If it were any other book in the series I would.
I'm not sure what happened to my amazing Sophie, but she was certainly MIA in this book. I can only hope the author will bring her back to life in the next book.
