I enjoy Scandinavian mystery and crime authors like Asa Larsson, Helene Tursten, Jo Nesbo, Karin Fossum and Amaaldur Indridason just to name a few.
I'm still in a state of shock bordering on panic. Harry is gone for ever or is he? There is a flicker of hope with the slight heart beat.
Yes. Nesbo is great at transporting you to the scene. This was a very taut and nicely paced thriller.
The others in the series featuring Harry Hole; however, this was unique in that it dealt with the drug underworld.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Wonderfully paced. I think Sachs made the book more enjoyable for me.
Great from beginning to end. Never a lull in the action.
I haven't read the print version but the audio is very difficult to understand and therefore I imagine the print version would be better.
A combination of the Norwegian words and the fact that the reader spoke softly and seemed to slur made understanding difficult. So difficult in fact that I gave up and didn't finish the book.
I loved the progression of the characters in this book, and where it left everyone at the end.
I really don't want to say anymore, because I was genuinely shocked at the end and I don't want to ruin that for anyone. All I can say is that if you have read all of the other Harry Hole books, then this will hit home like crazy.
If you haven't read the others, I would suggest not reading this first. Some have commented and said that each book can be enjoyed as a stand alone work, and that is true. Each story is enjoyable on its own, but you are missing the incredible progression from book to book with several characters!
Seriously, don't read this if you haven't read the other ones. Read them all in order.
Continuation of the series on Hare Hole now back in the lives of his love and 'son'. He will risk all for those he loves and he shares the weaknesses of humanity. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful series
When Harry fights his demons and through luck or strength of character overcomes them.
Nesbo's books are always entertaining and this one is no exception. Harry Hole is quite a character.
been doing audio books over 20 years. this is the worst...slow poor reading just a mess.
The narrator is phenomenal. I listened to "The Leopard" on audio as well so looked forward to the performance.
Harry is the Norwegian version of Michael Connolly's Harry Bosch. Although I think Hole could take Bosch!
Harry Hole by far was my favorite. Robin Sachs voice is forever linked to Hole for me.
When Harry's recurring dream came to fruition.
