I love a good clean, edge of your seat, mystery.
It has everything you want in an adventure/mystery/suspense! Good guys and girls, villains, which are not over the top, like some authors. People who seem like good guys, but you don't know who is and whose not. No gratuitous violence, sex, gore, and last but certainly not least, profanity! Thanx Clive!
Sam and Remy, of course. They're partners in every way. Either would sacrifice their own safety and well being for the other, even if it came to the ultimate sacrifice.
I can't say he's my favorite, because he's not. But if you're going to listen to a book by this author, you really must get used to him!
The dog's plight, I can't really elaborate without a spoiler.
You won't be disappointed with any series by Clive Cussler, (if you don't like Scott Brick you're in trouble) but please don't let it deter you from getting a really good book!
I have enjoyed this series of books from start to now. The action and the mystery as well as the history is fun. Of course it is a bit Indiana Jones ish, but just enjoy the fun of how you would imagine getting out of danger and not worry about all the reality. Makes for a clean, romantic couple who love each other and enjoy sharing life together. Done up right. Keep up the fun, Cussler!
If you already are a fan of Clive Cussler, what's not to like about this book? This is another action filled novel like so many before it. Lots of suspense, lots of heroic action with believable heroes doing what is right for the world. Then in the end the good guy gets to keep the lovely heroine that fought right along side him to the glorious end. And the icing on the cake is the wonder dog that saved his fair maden. For those of us that have and love our dogs, it couldn't be any better at "The End".
Loved it! The book is a great mix of history and action. I feel like I am getting a really exciting history lesson. The general storyline is a little predictable but a lot of fun to listen to.
Another good listen as is typical of any Clive Cussler book. Some of it maybe far fetched but this is fiction and its called creative license.
