If you're a fan of the previous three Monster Hunters this is I very good extension of the series logical line of progression from character. Love you too the monster battling
I started this series just a week or two ago. Haven't been able to stop listening. Like the previous books in this series, this title is extremely well written. The author has mastered the skill of balancing action, character development, and all those little things that make you feel like you're witnessing the events transpire with your own eyes.
I'm not sure if I can listen to another narrator after Oliver Wyman. It's like magic in my ears The series is amazing that I don't want to stop listening.

I laughed out loud, I cheered, I ahem, got 'dust' in my eyes and they may have gotten watery once or twice. Dust you see, dust.
I absolutely loved this book (as well as the previous 3 books in the series) and the series is hands-down one of the best I've ever read (or in this case, listened to :P). Larry Correia does it again by thrusting his very well-written and likeable characters into crazy situations worthy of any AAA Hollywood blockbuster movie. The action scenes are amazing and we get to see many characters in the spotlight, from the protagonist to other members of MHI and more. We see several of them grow and evolve into even more interesting characters, from Edward the baddass ninja-orc with his taboo inter-species budding relationship to Mosh, Owen's younger brother who learns to stop hating him and finally grows some cojones.
Another thing I love about this series is that it doesn't always take itself seriously and we are treated to hilarious moments throughout the book such as the aforementioned antics between Edward and Tanya the trailer Elf and Skippy's reactions when he finds out had me in stitches! Correia has a real gift for wall-placed sarcasm, wit and humour where it's never too much and always welcome.
And the narration, oh the narration. I often get asked by co-workers how I manage to enjoy someone else reading a book to me when according to them, it's always better to read a book yourself and I tell them it's all about the narration. Oliver Wyman's performance is perfect, from his pitch, intonations, accents, many voices and is an absolute delight to listen to and enhances the story itself imho.
I've listened to the first 4 books twice now (just re-listened to to book 4 before getting into the recently-released 5) and I've had a blast both times and am looking forward to more!
I loved this book, the series just keeps getting better and better. I'm going to get the rest of the books in this series. I highly recommend Monster Hunter.
This series has been going on for a while and it should probably get worst as it goes but it only gets better. Larry Correia always seems to go a little bit further in each novel to bring out something that you would never expect. And he does not disappoint in this tale. Great narration and a story that keeps you interested till the very end.
This one was especially funny and serious at the same time. The monster hunters from around the world have a conference in Vegas at the Dragon Casino and you wont believe who owns it.
In case any of you were wondering if you could skip book three and go straight to this one: the answer is yes. I still haven't read book three, but the flow from book two to this one was just fine. Although there were references to "copper lake" numerous times, it didn't feel like that particular side-story was necessary to understand what was happening here. Monster Hunter: Legion continues with the characters we know and love from before, told from the same point of view, read by the same guy - in short, if you've enjoyed the previous books, you'll like this one too!
