Gets better and better
I like to see Eve and Roarke develop in their relationship. I have also really like Somerset throughout these books, and it was great to learn a little more about him as well.
Susan Ericson narrate all the In Death books. She doesn't disappoint with this one, either.
Every six months I can't wait to listen to the next installment.
I love JD Robb and this series....but this book was disappointing. It lacked excitement and Dallas and Roarke lacked chemistry this time. This story had great potential.. but it wasn't fulfilled.
I have read romance novels off and on since i was 10. i started with woodiwiss, got turned off during the weird 80s and came back full tilt boogie with audible. i'm a knitter by trade and the subway/knitting/audible combo is nirvana right now.
Don't have time to read the print version. I listen to audio books as I knit on the subway.
Eve! She's really evolving as a character and she turns what I think is an important corner here.
She's amazing at her craft!
It is between her moment with Mira after she had that dream and the one with Peabody.
I really enjoy this series and am bummed to hear the next one will be next year :(
One of the best In Death books and I've read them all. The interactions between the characters are frequent and extremely enjoyable. Story line was great! As always,Susan Ericksen's presentation was excellent. Thank you Ms.Robb, wherever you are. (grin)
What can I say, there isn't a bad one in the bunch. This was really good. Eve and Roark never disappoint. Robb has made characters that are so well done that at this point they are like old friends. Watching Eve and Roark evolve has been such a treat. All the secondary characters are equally wonderful and the plot always keeps you wondering. Hate that it will be another year for the next one.
All of the In Death Series - the way the author has built the series around the characters makes you feel like they are in your life
I wouldn't change her... In the past I have LOVED her (I have listened to the entire series 3 times)... this book, her voice is the same for each character, but there is something different with the flow or cadence - it sounds like she is emphasizing every word, and to be honest, it is REALLY annoying to me. I haven't listened to the whole book yet, but I have considered stopping with the audio and just reading it. I keep thinking it will either stop, or I will get used to it. I hope that something medical hasn't caused her change - if it is, then I am sorry... I am still having a hard time listening.
absolutely! keep them coming!!
I have adored this series, J.D. Robb (Nora Roberts) is spectacular in her character development!!
The reason that I don't like American dramas is that the characters are predictable in many ways: heroines and heroes are always 'beautiful' - tall, slim, muscles etc. they always have an offsider who is not 'tall, slim, muscles etc in fact they are the opposite and are always shorter then the hero/ine with a slave devotion to their master/mistress.
So predictable I don't want to even bother writing anymore...even the story line is predictable....this sums up Delusion in Death - end of review.
The narration by Susan Ericksen was impressive - she does so many voices and characters - quite amazing.
one could fall asleep and not relly loose your place.........didn't miss anything. I have read lots of JD Robbs books this was one of her worst!
The narrator was fine
Suspenseful yet charming
Dallas getting along with Summerset
In an early In Death book a different narrator was used - Nobody can do the voicces like Susan; I can't read one of these books without hearing the voices in my head..
Anytime Peabody interacts with Rourke is charming and funny
