Enjoyed this book very much, but found the story of Lt Dallas' working through her nightmares a bit tiresome in this book. I did like that Rourke took a more active role in the story/investigation this time. Overall, an enjoyable listen.
I love all of the books in the Death series great suspense, love and humor. The narrator is the best...love all of the different characters and the voices that she uses for each one.
I would recommend any of the books by JD Robb.
I love the character she has done for all of them but I love Roark and the Ireland accent.
Robb done good!
I am a big fan of the Eve Dallas series. Most series would become boring after 30+ books but not in this case. Each story can stand on it's own. I have collected every book in the series as well as the audiobook to go with it.
Well, Eve, of course! I am amazed at the range of voices she is capable of and often pick up and listen to ANY book she records. So far I haven't found a bad one.
Say something about myself! I'm 66 with poor vision and HANDICAPPED,I save all my actual reading for my bible. My pleasure is at AUDIBLE!
As with all her books Nora Roberts is an incredible writer no matter which name she is using ! Her books keep you focused on the story and you just cant put them down.
Okay first I love love how Sue Ericksen reads the In Death Series. From book 1 to book 35 I am immersed in the lives of the characters because of the way she brings life and characterization to each character . I absolutely love Eve and Rourke. So for me I can't really give a bad review for any of the In Death books. The only thing I will say is I wished JD kept us a little more on the edge in guessing if the killer was someone we knew or someone after Rourke or terrorist almost to the very end. The books starts off with a bang. So for the In Death fans you'll like the book.
good story, and as usual strong characters, Susan Ericksen is truly Eve and does a great job with all women. She just isn't Roark however and I am always left a bit disappointed and still craving
Series: unique chars/plot line multi genre: Fantasy /Mystery/Adventure, Nars lg. repertoire ...diverse defined chars and comic timing
I have " a-read" this series multiple time from 'Naked In Death' to present 'Delusion In Death' including In Death novellas. When I am between a-reads, not finding that book that catches me. I find myself plugging in Naked In Death and inevitably the In Death Robb/Erickson Marathon begins, I find it impossible to stop with just one... I guarantee you will never tire of this series.
Delusion In Death can be a stand alone novel, but I caution you, DON'T DO IT!!!! One of the many things you'll miss is the amazing character development and back story of each major and minor character in the In Death series. J D Robbs character's repartee, ingenious plot lines with it's twist and turns and Susan Erickson inestimable talent of uniquely personifying every character, her perfect, on the mark, comic timing makes the In Death series a must for every audible reader's library. Delusion In Death as all the In Death Books can be described as a futuristic fantasy with an amazing love story between two flawed wise-cracking universally wealthy people who solve futuristic crime drama thriller mysteries with the help of their always interesting humorous unique wising cracking friends. Delusion In Death hits on every note and as always has left me wanting more...thankfullly...'Calculated In Death' will be released Feb. 26, 2013... I've already marked my calendar.
absolutely, i have started the whole series over to hear all of it again. It is well written, fantastic narrator, and the characters feel like family to me.
I like Eve and Roark, they just seem to be the balm each one needs and they seem sexy together. He reminds me of a type of Bruce Wayne (batman) although he began poor.
She is Eve Dallas and the other characters. I look for her in many audio books because she is one of the best! I recommend her to everyone that is into audio books, she does a super job on voices and is just fantastic.
It was really creepy how the "death" began. Something new that I had never seen/heard before in a book. Dont want to say, people that have not heard it yet will want the creepiness for themselves, everyone that is into the "In Death" series will love this one.
I also liked the part where Eve told Peabody who Stella was.
Love this series. Could replay it many times over. So worth the credit or money. It has the most fantastic narrator ever in the world. Love you Susan!!! Keep us the great work, you too Nora Roberts for another super segment in Eve Dallas' world. I have recommended this in audio and print to everyone that talks books to me.
J. D. Robb did not disappoint in this novel. There is a last minute twist towards the end that I hit round about 12 am and was not able to go to sleep! All in all good narrator, good story, and good ending - it feels like Eve is facing some of her issues in this book tying up loose ends. I enjoyed that she feels protective of Belle instead of being terrified of her which made me feel like she is a little closer to considering kids of her own. Which, I know she has said if the two of them reach that point it would mean the end of the series. I hope it doesn’t as I return to this series quite often.
I really liked this one! This didn't have the small chapters that were told from the criminals perspective, it was all Dallas and Co. It also had a bit of a surprise in the end. The story was good- this is why I still like this series, even 35 full length books in. I have been disappointed in the past but this delivered. Susan Ericksen did a great job, as usual.
