Easy listen, however, it didn't do much for me. I feel like because it's Mitch Albom, and Tuesdays with Morrie, and/or The Five People you meet in Heaven were such great books, that I need to give all his books a chance, but they never measure up. If you're into easy breezy effortless listens, then this is the book for you. However, if you're only reading this because you liked the above books by the author and hoping this will measure up, move on, it wont.
I have recommended this audiobook to several friends. Dan Stevens performance is stunning, and the storyline evocative.
The ending...of course, but throughout the story, the philosophical portrayal of time mind bending.
Dan Stevens is a master of characters/voices. Beautifully done! His pacing, and intonation are perfection.
Beside the main character Dor, and the 2 supporting characters, I have to say that the small portrayal of Victor's wife was touching. Reall all of characters are very memorable.
Honestly, I would not have picked up the book to read. A story about time? While I have read Mitch Albom before, I would not have seeked this one out. But listening to the story changes the perception of how the story unfolds in my mind. And Dan Stevens is to be commended for his flawless performance. "What do you know about time?" "It is never too late or too soon. It is when it is supposed to be."
I will listen to it again.
It's more a theme than a moment - the main character's enduring love for and dedication to his wife
The name is perfect.
Listen to it already!
I love Mitch Albom books and this one was no disappointment. It's an incredibly intriguing story and a smooth and interesting listen. I highly recommend it.
Mitch Albom hits home again with a good life lesson. I love the cadance of this book and the diversity of characters. You will be able to identify with one of the many characters in this book.
Good different voices
Best was the ending. The worst was the slow movement and wondering manner it went into time. I felt the author was trying to meet the requirements for covering the short story.
I would but if it was along the same lines of this one being written I would probably write the author off.
A good pace and delivery of the book. He would do justice to many other authors.
I came very close to marking this book as a mistaken pick.
I have always loved to read, and now I really enjoy listening to my books as well!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this little book--the story was simple, but very well written. And the narration was excellent. It's a short one, but well worth the listen!
Would not listen again -- not my style. Listen once, that's all I need.
Very clever and thoughtful story line. Kept wondering where it was going and how it would turn out.
Can't remember; listened a while ago.
A nice twist on how we think of time and time travel.
Yes, this is a story that deserves a spot in anyone's library. It encourages internal and external reflections and allows for a fresh perspective with each read.
The joining of three unlikely strangers separate from the constraints of time.
Dan Stevens' performance as Sarah Lemon, a lost teenage girl seeking purpose is not only believable but commendable.
Yes, I fought the urge to rebel when the flight attendant asked for all electronics to be shut down.
Another win for Albom
This book was short and sweet. The message at the end is very good.
