5 star listen
Joel Osteen narrating this book made it even better. Such a gifted speaker.
Life changing read!
Say something about yourself!
As for motivational.....it's very, very good. Joel Osteen it's a very good speaker. I also watch him on Sundays
Declaring to speak to your mountains. Move all obstacles out your way, speak speak to your mountains so they can be moved.
I didn't think so but, when i finally did it was great. Glad i did!
Each short chapter is one day's devotional. Very well done, well read, and uplifting. I listen to several at one time, and review them as needed.
What has God given you that you have decided not to claim?
This audio book helped me to understand that God has given and will give me many gifts. I can choose to receive them or not.
Let me now declare, God has given blessings to me, and I receive them. God has given us the power to speak words into our own future for his glory. Our words of declaration do not have to be long, only spirit led.
Joel’s book “I Declare” was not long, but the lessons I learned are long lasting. I learned a new way to praise God, and a new way to release the power of what I have and what I will be given.
I've listened to this book about 10 times already and I've only had it a couple months. It truly is life changing and I feel better every time I listen to it. Definitely a must read, or listen :) for people who still have self doubt. This book boosted my self confidence and the way I view myself. I can honestly say, I have recommended this book to everyone I love! Joel Osteen has the most soothing voice, and his message is profound.
I would recommend it as life and circumstances can be overwhelming. The author is the rare cheerleader that comes along to urge you forward without being smarmy or promising unreachable things.
There are a lot of little stories throughout to illustrate his daily life declarations. I often forget what the declarations are but the stories have stuck with me.
There was a young man trying to get into a prestigious college, which he would only be able to afford with at least a partial scholarship. He didn't get it and enrolled at a local junior college. Four weeks before school started, he was called by the scholarship office to say an opening had become available for a four year total scholarship. Don't let the first no discourage you.
My atypical reaction to this audiobook versus others has been repeatedly playing it. I find myself listening to it while walking, driving to work or playing video games. It's a boost akin to an extra shot of espresso.
This book ranks among the best of audiobooks I've listened to. Joel Osteen's voice is engaging. I really enjoy listening to it over and over again, especially as I fall asleep at night.
I really like the way Joel Osteen ties in Scripture in demonstrating how we limit God through our negative thoughts and words.
This book is life changing, I relisten to it at least once a week.
He speaks to you not from a holier than thou perspective, but rather as an average person who understands the day to day areas in which a person might become discouraged or disheartened. His simple declarations can help a person feel more confident have better self esteem, feel a renewed sense of control over their life's direction.
No I tried to break it up over a few days. Would have done one declaration per day but found I couldn't stop at just one.
Would recommend any of his books (specifically audiobooks)to anyone who is struggling with something...which really is everyone.
I liked the book but it was not the kind of book you sit and read. You read one passage a day. Then put the book away until the next day.
love the point of the book.
