Honestly I wasn't expecting much from this one, I picked it up on a $4 Audible sale... I was pleasantly surprised by the story though.
It started off with a scene from the past to introduce us to our characters, but in this blast from the past you can already see whats going to happen. It's a really predictable story, but enjoyable all the same. There were a few holes in the story (why wouldn't she know anything about his family when his sister has been her best friend for years?) but it kept things light and interesting enough that you can easily look beyond the mistakes.
The epilogue basically spells out the next book for you, but it may end up on my to be read pile anyway!
I enjoyed the story and am looking forward to reading the sequel. I thought the ending was very sweet and touching.
Maybe to someone who is not too descriminating
Have not heard her before
Maybe - might make a daytime soap plot.
The first chapters were disturbing. If you're going to talk about children's first sexual type encounters, make sure they are done as a look back. So that we are remembering when the character was a child, not actually being a child with them.
sweet and soft
Maybe it gets better as the book goes on. I couldn't stomach listening to it.
A little too much angst, not enough humor. Not my preference in a romance story. I did not even stay around to find out what happened to the dog. Deleted the book from my IPod about half way through.
I love reading but don't have time. The audiobooks allow me to hear the books I want to read. I love audible!
Nick and Alexa romance was comical and sweet. This story is another example of how bad parents can taint their future. Nick could have lost his true love.
This was worth the credit!
I liked both characters and it was sweet and silly. It makes a good lazy day listen. Still I can't say more than bleh.
