No spoilers from me. I enjoy HOT, sexy books. No vampires, paranormal, 4 me.I'm running out this typeAudible-so on2 lighter romance/mystery.
Probably in the middle....it had some twists but followed a predictable path.
Nicholas-a dark brooding guy who seems to be fighting everything/everyone.
She is lively and gave each character a voice & personality
No, it was pretty moderate
Enjoyable read-I'd recommend buying it on sale...not worth using a credit; in my opinion.
Gust in case the girl next door is better looking than you want to let on
The way both main characters tried to out wit one other
Yes . manage to put the story across rather well
I really did want to know what was going to happen next.
I loved the story line. It has characters that you want to have a happy ending. I recommend this book. It was really well written.
Yes, because it's got a strong female character, strong male character and they butt heads. also there is some great sex.
I would have to say Nick, he fought with himself so much and the end of the book what he did for Alexa was romantic.
She was a little dry at times, but she was still good
I listen to these books at work and I had to explain so many times why I was laughing! I almost cried a few times.
The story line is really cute with the childhood hatred of each other. I actually did have a friend read it and she too knew what was going to happen at the end within the first few chapters, but we still liked it as a fluff novel.
The one part where the performer starts screeching trying to convey emotion was just awful. I get there was supposed to be a lot of emotion, but when it's right in your ear it's just annoying.
This book was dumb and predictable. Like another reviewer said, it's a cookie cutter romance. You know exactly what is going to happen to this couple from the very first page. I usually don't mind books like that, because it passes the time. But, the narrator really made it worse. She's reads breathily--like she's a character from Dynasty or some other over the top drama--and she sounds like she has a cold for the first 3/4 of the book. Didn't anyone else notice that? It's so odd!!
Also, parts of the book didn't make sense--why doesn't Alexa know more about Nick's life, when her best friend is his sister? Why doesn't she want Nick to know the money is for her parents house, but it's okay to think it was for her bookstore?
There are definitely far better chick-lit/romance books out there.
References to "romance novels" and cliched plot but delivered in a moderately interesting manner. Poor girl marries icy rich childhood friend in a "business deal" that gives her money to save her parents' home and allows him to gain full control of his architectural firm.
nope, too silly, poorly developed story
if the narrator didn't have a voice like she was recovering from a cold
I don't want to be mean about the narrator, but her voice isa bit nasal and out of breath or something? it doesn't suit this genre. I heard her in "calling invisible women" and her vioce suited the humor there... but made this book here even worse than it was
Yes because the author has a great storyline.
Voice was to raspy.
Story line was great but needs a different narrator.
