I'm a sucker for mysteries with dogs (love PT Duetermann's german shepherds) and the Andy Carpenter series is pretty good stuff, although a little on the light side. Andy always knows something we don't, so the ending is always a surprise and that's a good thing. All in all, good entertainment.
I am rarely seen without my headphones on and my iPod clipped on my waist. I love my books.
I am always entertained by these books. This one did not disappoint me. I hope that there will be another book in the near future.
I hope that the narrator stays the same. I associate Grover Gardner with Andy and he adds to my enjoyment.
Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
You gotta love Andy Carpenter and Grover Gardner makes his character perfect. The whole gang is back trying to help out the innocent and get the bad guys. Andy is such a fun loving goof ball who love to annoy and loves his dog Tara. Offen times I find myself laughing out loud with the antics they come up with. This series is an automatic down load for me, one I can share with my mother and both of us enjoy it immensely. But start out with 1. Open and Shut to know the whole story.
Another winning combination with Andy and his crew, narrated by Grover Gardner. A slight twist to his usual formula (I wo't spoil it). So you will enjoy it even more!
David Rosenfelt has been writing the same book for some time now. I imagine his computer comes equipped with a background program, so that he can overlay the new plot over the basic narrative. Everything in the background is the same - the types of jokes. characters, dialogue.
And yet, Grover Gardner is such a good narrator and the cookie-cutter story goes down so easily, I bought another one of the same thing. Have a spine and pass on it, unless you want something to drift off to sleep on.
