No offense but he was not up to the great job Scott Brick does.
I am a huge fan of Griffin and am lessening to all of them.
no, reader is too bad
never, he was terrible
Great book and storyline ruined by the reader, makes them sound like cartoonish weasels from "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"
Yes, I am a W.E.B Griffin fan and enjoy all of his war novel efforts.
I thought his performance fit the narrative of the book..
No. The best parts of these novels are the narratives among the characters and the history included in the background. A movie would have to contrive more action, which would ruin it for me.
I can see where this novel would appeal to only a select group of people. You would have to be interested in the history of the time period and enjoy the banter of males during difficult times.
It was certainly not a barn burner. W.E.B.'s stories are becoming to predictable and are ok to pass time with but certainly not up to the quality of when he was first being published.
Just a bland story
No, this dog won't hunt any longer
W.E.B. did not meet expectations nor was it up to his standards he managed in all of his previous books. The story was disjointed to the point of confusion. There was little or no action in at least the first 8 hours of listening. I can't think of any reader who would enjoy this book.
I think I will listen to another J. D. Robb novel.
Yes, the narration matched the pace of the book. Unfortunately, there was nothing the narrator could do to make improvements based on the material he was working with.
I would send it back to the author and ask for a complete rewrite.
Having read all of the other books by W. E. B. Griffin, I was extremely disappointed. I was expecting an easy ehjoyable read with good strong characters, some humor and action.
I keep ordering and listing to WEB Griffin’s books knowing most of it will be full of history trivia of WWII. Now that he’s teamed up with his son it seems like they’re collaboration is producing more history and less action
The most interesting part of the story line to me is a glimpse into how well a small country like Great Britain dealt with the daily bombings and it’s major overall contribution to WWII.
Some of the characters in the story are not very believable.
Delivers trivia well.
To question why more citizens of Germany didn’t do more to stop the evil that was done to so many innocent people of the world based on the leadership of a crazy man.
I will probably continue to purchase future books written by the father and son team. I'm not sure I will outlive the farther but I wonder what a story would be like without his influence.
World War II buffs may be interested, but I found myself loosing interest during some sections. Story was good but with an abrupt ending that seemed to be forced.
Kept me interested, not on the edge of my seat though
I have always liked Dick Canady
Not really, there was some humor, but not real heavy laughable humor, it is not that type of book
yes, loved action, loved the way it was done and read
other griffin novels
