Probably not. Very little new to me.
I think the structure is there. Ideas are valid, though not new.
I would say not in this performance.
If you're unfamiliar with the content - wait for a new narrator.
The quality of the audio was superb. I truly enjoyed the order of the chapters and how they fit to culminate in the last lesson.
Her voice was attention getting yet smooth. It was a pleasure to listen too.
Great book, everything its easy to understand and describes accurately the types of charisma and how to incorporate it into your daily life
A dating expert who translates then artfully presents complex research and scientific data to the dating world in a useful and humorous way.
Nearly 100% of the books I read are on personal development, and this book is at the top of the list. If
you want people to take you seriously then you need to read this book.
I've been intrigued by the topic of charisma for some time now. So, when I saw this I had to give it a listen. I love how charisma itself is broken down into 4 main types. The book is full of tools and visualizations that are easy to apply everyday, I have lots of bookmarks and I look forward to continuing to practice them.
I have an eclectic taste in books: my fave would be historical fiction (Bernard Cornwell, Ken Follett, etc.) but I've been getting in deep to biographies lately (I recently finished one on John D. Rockefeller and now I'm mid-stream on George Washington). I thought I'd roll the dice to and see what this book was about. I got maybe 20 minutes in and couldn't take anymore. This is the only book I've actually stopped without finishing (usually I'll plow ahead even when I don't enjoy the book bc I was raised to finish what you start). I just couldn't continue on with this book. It was very obviously psuedo-scientific. Couch dubious "studies" as an authority and then repeat the same point over-and-over until you just can't state it again. Then repeat it 5 more times.
Absolutely. If it resembles a self-help book, count me out.
Make narrators voice less annoying. Maybe that's unfair. The content was remarkably bad and that could color my opinion of the narrator.
Don't buy this book.
