You know you've read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend. ~Paul Sweeney
Not too serious. The accents and tone was great a real fun listen.
I read a lot of paranormal and this was different.
Angel, the main character was great. You couldn't help but like her and in some ways relate.
I would never rename it, the title is perfect!
I NEED BRAAAIIIINNSS!
Becoming a zombie saved my life.
I tried this book out of curiosity. I really enjoyed it. It puts a whole new twist to the over done zombie culture. It is worth the time to listen.
I have to admit that this was just a filler book till something else I wanted to listen to came along. I have to tell you that this is a really good listen, Not too serious I laughed quite a few times. Angle is quite the red neck and makes the story. The plot has a lot twists and turns keeps things interesting. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Allison does a great job with this book. She keeps the tone of the characters and situations right on track.
All I can say is that Angle is a GREAT character!! She is very real in the way she talks and reacts!
Highly creative series - what a wonderful surprise. I was impressed by all the high reviews on Amazon and figured I'd have to give it a try and now I am on number three. They really need to do more of these to audible. Excellent narration by Allison McLemore.
Allison McLemore does a fantastic job narrating this book. Hearing the lines in a southern accent really takes the book to a whole new level, compared to reading it on your own.
As for the story, it's entertaining and exciting. I didn't find it too gory, but others may differ. My only complaint's that the ending is rather sudden and things are wrapped up a bit too neatly. I'm looking forward to listening to the next book in the series.
Acupuncture student with a long commute to school who loves quirky horror and sci-fi/fantasy
The dialogue and how Angel talked was hilarious, great southern euphemisms and hilarity that made being a white trash loser fun and entertaining. She is raw and kind and full of life. She may be the undead but this story sure is not
that the zombies were human and that this was a parasite that they could live and be with and not a death sentence
all of the white trash zombie books are great
I love the name
very lighthearted and a great read for a long drive keeps you entertained without having to worry about getting lost in the story. I loved all of the books in this series so far.
I enjoy reading many books genres. But I love listening to fantasy books.
This was a really engaging book. I love the main character. I think it works because being made into a zombie is a problem, but also saves her. There were many times where I laughed out loud listening to the book. Looking forward to listening to the rest of the series.
I liked that this world of zombies wasnt about nameless, lumbering, stupid slobbering zombies. I liked the possibilties the zombies could lead "normal"lives.
Angel-hands down. She rocked it.
Love her voice. She created Angel for me. And I loved how swear words rolled of her tounge so easily-just like white trash!
Well I'd surely take Angel. She has a great take on life. I'd like to sit and swear with her. Very liberating.
When Angel starts to crave for brains... Oh, that is so gross but it's so funny!
It's the best book ever!
Oh, can I tell you something? She eats and eats brains!
Are you serious?
Expansive creative worlds or histories seem to be my thing these days... Too much time in a car with long drives ahead!
A really wonderful fast moving story with good character development. It took me a moment to adjust to the narration but then it was love! Only criticism was that I wish the plot was a bit larger... Still very worth the credit or dollars!
