The audio book sounded very cheesy because of the woman reading trying to sound like a man. It really took a lot from the book.
Have a male and a female reader
This book is similar to Shades of Grey in that the male character is a control freak, but in a more normal way. He doesn't have some S&M fetish or anything like that. He's just a type A personality. Both characters do had a past that causes conflict and they have to work on communicating with one another.
I thought all of the characters were well written and performed well. You could really hear the difference in personality when spoken by performer. You felt like you were watching a play.
I didn't want to put this book down! The seans were so vivid and raw.
It was a good read, but the story of a rich guy that falls for the girl next door has been told. I think this is actually better read before 50 Shades - it was positioned as the book to read after 50 Shades. I probably would have rated higher if I read this book first. The plot twists are a little under developed and the story is somewhat predictable.
Eva and Gideon's First passionate encounter in the limo. That is when the story line started to heat up and get really good.
I love her narrating. You can tell she really got into the story and how she uses her voice to differentiate between the characters.
When Eva and Gideon admit they love one another. When they open up to one another in ways that neither one of them think is possible.
I have not read Fifty shades so I can not compare this book to that series. I have heard the story line and characters are almost the same so if that is the case then some people might be turned off by this book. However, I think this book is a very passionate and erotic book. But, it also has a great story line and really shows what can happen when two people start to open up there hearts to one another in ways neither one of them thought was possible. I think the narration is also great. Jill does an amazing job. Even if the story is similar to fifty shades it is worth it to at least listen to this book just for her brilliant narration.
High up there.
Fifty Shades of Grey. It is very similar with out all the kinky f--kery.
When Ava and Gideon have sex in his limo for the first time.
No. I like to enjoy books over many sittings.
Not as good as Fifty Shades of Grey. I really loved those books and perhaps I am being unfair in my comparison. I felt that Bared to You was Fifty Shades but with out all the charm. It is still a very good book. Maybe I should have listened to a totally different type of book between the two.
The auther tried too hard to be dirty, it ended up being a very laim book.
It read like a parody of Fiftey Shades of Grey
Yeah she was great
Very good done with it in one day could not put it down
1st time sex
Yes and I did
Yes, it is written very well and has you pulling for this couple. The emotions and feelings one feels when reading this book is wonderful.
My favorite moment is how well written the intimate moment between Eva and Gideon--when they are struggling with their own inner torment, trying to explain to each other how much they mean to each other--at the Garden Party at Gideon's family's home. The chance that they might get caught is such a turn-on.
There's more to Gideon than the story allows. By reading this story, you know that Gideon had some sort of troubled past. The foreshadowing is there, but leaves you wanting more answers by the end.
I do believe the voice/actress made it a little difficult to separate the characters' voices. Sometimes, I wasn't sure if it was Eva or Cary talking, etc.
There were a few moments that really moved me. One that stands out is when Gideon finally tells Eva he loves her, but it's more than that. The way it is explained is touching and heartfelt. It's so lovely that Eva felt that too.
More,....it would be great if the author made a second book from Gideon's perspective, delving into his past and how the two of them can get past it, together. It's such a great story, but I want more!!!
Bared to You runs a close second to the amazing 50 Shades
very much so, i need more... i need a resolution to the story
I had heard great things about this book so I purchased it on audible bc I had a token.
I liked the story line but found the narrator to be distracting. Some female
Narrators can switch to a male voice without losing the story. This narrators voice seemed
Comical. I think I would have enjoyed the story more with a different narrator or just
Reading the book.
I guess 50 shades of Gray. In some ways, this story was much better.
Susan Erickson she can switch characters so fluidly you
Don't realize you are listening to a book.
