I thought I loved the 50 Shades Of Grey series until I listened to this. Now I'm feeling like the 50 Shades author was insulting my intelligence. I'm fairly new to the romance/erotica scene...particularly where vampires aren't concerned. So, maybe the 50 Shades books were only preparing me for this series! ;) Well written, well read!
I got this book yesterday and finished it today...I sat and listened to it until it was done...too bad I have to work tomorrow, so I won't get to listen to the second book uninterrupted!
Love this site! I have a very busy job, so listening to audio books enables me to keep up on great stories!
Yes. It's steamy and exciting.
Well as much as he drives me crazy at times, I am absolutely fascinated with Gideon. He's a big puzzle.
No I hadn't. She rocked it. Will look for more of her work to listen to.
When they first get together, I had a difficult time breathing. Whew!
Looking forward to the next book! Am downloading ASAP!
This book is good enough that I did listen to it all the way through. It has the literature quality equivalent comparable to the theatrical quality of reality TV; it is fluff, but entertaining/sexy fluff if that is what you are into.
If you have read 50 shades then you already know this story; it is EXTREMELY similar. The differences I can pick out: the leading lady isn't quite as annoying, there is no bondage, and it is a bit more explicit I think.
This is meant to be basically a ripoff of the50 shades books so i had my doubts because the concept was good but they annoyed the hell out of me. Very happily surprised though this story was so much better the main character actually had a spine and was not annoying in the least!
i will definetly recommend this audiobook
the way they had sex for the first time in the limo and how he ignore her after
If anyone tells you this book or the series is a substitue for "50 Shades" they are sadly mistaken. I didn't care for this one. It had it's moments and some great erotic interactions but too often than not I was totally turned off by the vulgar use of the "C" word. Sylvia Day didn't do me any favors with this one and have stopped and stared this one so many times I lost count I felt so much frustration and loathing for Eva I'd have kicked her to the curb faster than any woman I've ever dated. Gideon Cross is a piece of work in and of himself and he deserves Eva and all the raining maddness the two of them give each other.
Not my favorite but not the worst waste of a credit by far. Take it for what it is and don't think you are climbing into a series that comes close to competeing with others out there that are some much more rewarding.
If I cared at all about the characters. The entire plot was just completely unbelievable, which would have been fine if the author had taken her time to really develop the relationship between the two main characters. It felt like the "plot" was just a way to connect the sex scenes (which were good).
She did a great job. She really committed 100%. She did not shy away from any of the explicit material and tried to make the rest of the plot as interesting as she could.
I feel like Sylvia Day is probably a better writer than this book shows her to be. I wonder if her editor made her keep it short or something.
Fifty Shades was a better story, even if Day is a better writer.
I was so glad when this book was finally over. It lacked originality in many areas of the storyline. The female lead had too many issues and too much baggage.
I didn't like voice used for the male lead.
I thought this story was well written. The interaction between the characters was very powerful.
I think this story could be comparable to 50 Shades. The characters draw you in.
I could feel the passion of the characters through her reading. She made Ava and Gideon come alive.
Yes!!!! It was very hard to turn it off.
I was very pleased with the execution of the story. It was one of my favorite by far.
Yes I liked the audio version I can listen why I work!
Love the love story and keeps you wanting to listen more!
Every part was my favorite
