This one had me captivated and right there in the story with them......hurry book three.....need to get my emotional rollercoaster back lol Very good story too.
The limo....emotional toll on Eva and the realization of how he affected her inside.
Readers who have not yet read the "Fifty Shades" series
Possibly. I'm sure that there must be fine examples of original writing in her repertoire.
As always, Audible listening brings a whole new dimension to the book experience.
I was seeking a book to follow the "Fifty Shades" trilogy and this was suggested.I thought it was a unique book, not the same plot..moved across the country and lacking the dimension of 50's story of love and compromise. The annoyance with the constant similarities prevented any enjoyment of this selection. The surprising number of positive ratings suggests that I may be too fond of "50 Shades" !
yes, I did listen to it twice actually
I relaly enjoyed this story and can't wait for the next book to come out!
If you loved 50, than you are surely going to love this series as well, perhaps more, Great story and very captivating! So much more believable with better writing than the 50 Shades series. I am anxiously awaiting the next 2 books!
I really loved this book... It was like FSOG but different as well. I did not like how it ended. I felt it left a lot of questions unanswered but... it was still really really good!!
It's a MUST READ!
I enjoy a happy ending but can these two individuals with abusive pasts make their future together work? What is incredibly depressing is how high the statics really are for those that have suffered from abuse. Im sure alot more people will be able to relate to this story than they are willing to admit. The hurt, need for acceptance and struggle for security in these characters make you want to find out what happens to them.
Since I've only listened to the book all I can say is I enjoyed listening to it immensely.
The instantaneous chemistry between Eva and Gideon.
No, but looking forward to it.
The way Eva made sure to take care of Gideon after one of his worst nightmares where he could have hurt her. She made sure he knew she would never leave him that was heart wrenching.
This story is perfect for listeners who need to be weened off of Fifty Shades. Even with that said, Eva and Gideon's story is much more severe than Christen's and Anna. That story had one character overcoming several types of abuse from his past. With this explosive story we have two people trying to over come their abusive past together. Their attraction, love, and misery are immediate and you can't help but pray for them to over come their fears. Plus the people that surround them seem to need as much help as they do. In the end you find your self wondering how this couple will find their " Happily Ever After".
Yes, details in book are easy to visualize.
Yes, left me wanting additional information about how the relationship ended/continued.
The possible expressions and personalities of each character, without your having to give thought, it was just there.
No, but I did.
The story was interesting but the narrator takes the story to another level. The talent of Jill Redfield is awesome. She made the characters real and interesting.
One of the most memorable moments was when Gideon attack Ava after a horrible nightmare. After the situation calmed. They held and consolved each other and he cried until morning. The cause of the nightmares was never revealed in the book but it was eluded to. It just makes the reader aware that no matter who you are, everyone hurts.
Gideon was by far my favorite charactor. He has swagger. He has power and authority. He has style and finesse. He is educated, wealthy and fit. He has a commanding personality and at the end of it all, he is fragile, insecure, and vulnerable. He is human.
This book made me laugh. It made me cry. I was frustrated, curious, envious. I was all over the board with emotion.
Bared to you is rich in characters who are real and fractured. I found myself captured by this recording.
Bared to you is an interesting listen, but is very steamy. If you that's not your cup of tea, you may want to pass on this one.
This was a great, great listen!!
