hot sexy and thrilling
Fifty Shades of Grey. Both books consist of very rich, hot men who will not take no for an answer.
The sex is all there. The story is not. Bared to You lacks depth, plot line, and character development; everyone seemed kind of one dimensional. I did listen to the entire book, kind of waiting for something new to develop other than sex and temper tantrums. No character seemed realistic to me, I felt no emphathy for any of them. On the plus side, I will never look at a tinted window limousine in the quite the same way.
Bared to you ranks among my favorite of all the audiobooks I've listened to so far and I've listened to a VERY large quantity of audiobooks since I began my Audible membership in October 2008.
The scene in the library where Gideon and Eva are interrupted, first by Magdalena and then by Christopher.
"A movement on the far side of the room caught my eye and I froze, my gaze locking with Magdalene’s. She stood just inside the door, halted midstride, staring wide-eyed and open-mouthed at the back of Gideon’s moving head."
Eva almost revels in the feeling of exhibitionism and ownership when she realizes Magdalena is watching and returns her focus to Gideon, then disregarding the other woman. Then they are interrupted AGAIN by Christopher but are situated so that he can't see what is going on underneath Eva's skirts - and there is A LOT going on under there!
"I climaxed. Afraid of the wail of pleasure that wanted out of me, I sank my teeth into Gideon’s hard pectoral. He grunted softly and started coming, his cock jerking as it pumped thick spurts of scorching semen into me.
The rest of the conversation was lost beneath the roar of my blood. Christopher said something, Gideon replied, and then the door shut again. I was lifted to sit on the armrest and Gideon started thrusting between my spread thighs, using my body to rub out the rest of his orgasm, growling in my mouth as we finished off the rawest, most exhibitionistic sexual encounter of my life."
Definitely one of my more favorite moments *sigh*!
This is the first time I have listened to a performance by Jill Redfield. In comparison with other narrator's...she is VERY good. She changes her voice and inflection just enough that there is a difference between characters but not so much that it sounds awkward or ridiculous.
They have already laid their bodies bare to each other, can they survive the baring of their hearts?
I really enjoyed the story and wish I had a Gideon of my very own!
It is like a knockoff of 50 shades of gray.
The sexual thoughts of the lead character are not believable. It's over the top -- too much.
It's just not believable. It's stupid!
I like the story but it was all too familiar.
The mysteriousness of Gideon was original.
I am not sure what came first....50 Shades or this...doesn't matter...they are the same.
WAY better than 50 shades, wonderful story line and the narrator was superb. I downloaded the next two books within minutes of completing the first one. Great book.
No I would not recommend to a friend; this book is repetitive and the main character is whiny and annoying.
The sex scenes are very repetitive and semi-boring even, as the listener becomes desensitized by hearing basically the same descriptions over and over. Main character Ava is very whiny and insecure, and she and Gideon basically have the same sex, then the same fight, then the same discussion, then the same make up sex over and over. Gotta change it up at least a bit....
good job on not laughing while reading the sex scene dialog in both his and her voices
eh.....only just barely. I was ready for it to end, the characters weren't that likable and the story was pretty thin
I kept trying to picture the actor who could play Gideon Cross, since he's described as basically the hottest creature on the planet....
Yes, I loved Jill- she did a wonderful job! I enjoyed the story.
Ok - try not to judge me to harshly - I have a guilty pleasure in these types of books. A guy with hard edges, and the girl he can't live without- yes I am a sucker for it.
I loved this series just like I loved the Blackstone Affair, 50 Shades, Claim me (I dont remember the series name) and Dublin Street.
... There are a few ... I think I have 8 book marked
It's 4 stars based on the entertainment factor. I spent my Sunday reading and working. Was a day of pure pleasure. I can't wait to read the next volume. I am ready with a comfortable place and a quiet task to complete while I get lost in Crossfire.
All are my favorites. None disappointed.
Excitement and sex??
made me smile and...
Bring on the next one!
