This book is hot and I admit there are several similar things to fifty shades but for me this book was better.
I liked the mix of drama passion.
I hope they keep her through all the books she add a great deal to the story
Yes I read this book in a day and will listen to it again!!
Can't wait for the next book!!
New to Audible, but already addicted.
Not sure since I do not like to read books.
The build up to their first encounter.
Sylvia makes me long to be a young twenty-something again for the physical benefits alone! The main characters are young, successful, gorgeous, and hot. The passion and emotional turmoil take the reader on a roller-coaster ride. I was left with a lot of questions about Gideon and Eva which I hope to get answered in the second book.
The story is addictive. The characters are so complex, emotionally scarred by traumatic experiences and obsessive. I loved 'Fifty Shades' but this is so much better. The narration is expressive and believable. This audiobook delivers on every level.
I loved Gideon and his raw sexuality, his obsessiveness and the way he managed to possess his lover.
She was absolutely brilliant. She read in character and defined each role using expression, changes in tone and re-enactment. I would have to say that I found her one of the best readers to date. Her voice and performance was just perfect. Couldn't stop listening. A great job! I was hooked!
Was very impressed with the audiobook and the performance by Jill Redfield. She had the power to transport the listener into the story and hook them in.
It got straight to the point of the story but if you have read the 50 Shades Trilogy, you'll find that it has the very same tone/scenarios.
She did gr8! I loved her a lost better than the narrator of 50 Shades
I did not like the ending. There was no real closure.
Lover of listening to feel good books and knitting!!
This book was just a couple having sex, no real story to draw you in, I couldn't careless about the characters. Since I read 50 Shades and this was FanFiction of that book I understood what the writer was trying to do, but u still need a good story. This book had none.
Gimme a good story and I'm happy!
I had previously read the Crossfire books and enjoyed them. However, I couldn't get past Jill Redfield's handling of dialogue between Eva and Gideon. I tried, but she had an underlying snarkiness in her tone that made her Eva came across as a snotty-nosed brat. And I laughed everytime I heard Gideon speak. She made him sound like "Patrick" from SpongeBob! That said, I liked her Monica voice and when she was doing straight narration. It was just the Eva-Gideon exchanges that hit the wrong note. Unfortunately, that comprises the bulk of the two books in the series. I had to return both books after listening to about 20% of the first one.
I'm a 25 year old mum to my beautiful nearly 2 yr old daughter and i LOVE books , both reading and listening to them :D
yes i differently would
Fifty shades of gray , rush , fever
at the beginning when Eva and Gideon first come a cross each other :p lol
The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn’t tear us apart...
steamy goodness that you won't want to put down !!!
I'm An Assistant Manager For A Local Little Retail Business... Married My College Sweetheart April 5, 2013... I'm 100% A Book Nerd I Absolutely Love Audible & Love I Can Take It Anywhere I Go...
I love how the book sucks you in to the story I'm the beginning an keeps you wanting to know more.
The fact it has romance an action all in one book.
Would have to be Ava'a first day at Crossfire.
There was parts in this book I did bust out in laughter & tear up.
I recommend this to others quiet often it was a great read one I've read over an over again.
FANTASTIC! Hadn't read the book first so it was just an absolute treat!!!!!! I have no idea how Sylvia Day has flown under my radar all this time but what an absolute delight to have found her. This is a great story, with characters that just caught me from page one. I cannot wait to read/listen to the entire three books of this trilogy! And along with that was the perfect narration of Jill Redfield, another first for me and I will be looking for her name again.
SPEND THAT CREDIT NOW!!!!
Both main characters are so agonisingly flawed, and yet they complete each other, it's not the usual boy meets girl, problem, happy ending ..... oh no its messier than that.
too many to list
I was simple unable to stop listening - I let the world just disappear and I was engrossed
In my top 5
