Julie James has great dialogue you do not want to miss.

Karen's voice is not the best, but she has good timing and this makes up for it. This book is #1 of the three. #3 voice was weak, but again dialogue makes up for it.

this is not a real mystery, but a romantic story with mystery timing. You will listen to it in one day, I did.Enjoy. Now I start #2 book as #1 and #3 were recommended and I listened in that order.

Honestly, I just loved this book. It wasn't fanciful drivel, there were high stakes, and there was genuine emotion and not the whole "We kissed once and now I'm going to marry him!" stuff that seems to be so prevalent in this genre. The only thing I felt was unbelievable was how long it took her to come clean. I'm definitely a new fan of the series.

Awesome narration by Karen White - she brings the characters to life with her reading. Great characters by Julie James - I'm now a fan of hers. There was just the right amount of reality (e.g., crime scene) with romance. Jack is a bit of an alpha male (wee bit ;) and Cameron is a strong woman.

I loved Cameron's personality, but Jack and his partner, Wilkins, were both well drawn too. Even Wilkins added significantly to the story and I found myself looking forward to hearing his story someday. There was spark, humor and intelligence to them all.

Karen White is awesome, I'll now be looking for her readings even when I don't know the author. I'd follow her performance everywhere right now!

This is the first Julie James book that I have read or listened to. I enjoyed the story and I had no problem with the narration. I figured out the bad guy pretty early in the book, so I was waiting for everyone to figure it out, but I will definitely look for more books by Ms. James.

Suspense and romance. What more can you want for a great read. I recommend this book for a enjoyable read.

This book came alive by the narrator. Reading it would have been good, but listening to it was great.

All of the characters were well developed and likeable. The author's style reminded me of Suzanne Brockmann, whom I LOVE!

She was able to depict men as well as women effortlessly. Sometimes you have to get use to a narrator, or they will have trouble with one gender or the other. Karen White was the reason this book got 5 stars and not 4. I will now check out other books she has narrated.
