The author never fails to come through, this book was well worth the wait. I will anxiously await another installment in the series. Gena Showalter shines again.
I loved how the author wrote The 2 main characters. They were both opposites that attracted and I also loved the ending of the story. Very excited for a second book to come out next year.
I might compare Wicked Nights to Heather Killough-Walden's Lost Angels series! They are both about archangels and them having problems finding their mates and wars in the process. Both amazing series.
No I have listened to any other performance by him but I thought he did a great job.
Yes when we found out that Zacharel's brother was alive and he had to choose. It was just a shocking moment in the story that you definantly didn't see coming.
I liked the story and I liked the performance but there were too many mouth sounds from the narrarator. Come on guys... Don't you have someone to edit that out? It totally took away from the book.
I am a Showalter fan, I've read most of her books, started ready them years ago when she was first published. However, this book missed the mark for me. I didn't really enjoy it. Max did well as narrator, as always, but the story was just missing something. I will continue reading her books, one miss out of them all is a good track record.
He does well with demostrating emotion and character.
Yes, story & characters are compelling my attention & besides love the story.
Towards end of story when she sacrifice for her love for him...don't want to spoil but please listen to find out what i mean.
Of course, it was hard to pause during interruptions.
If u like/love Gena's stories this is another one of her best...a must listen or read story & can't wait for the next book, i'll be definitely buying that too!
I would definitely listen to this book again. The reader was great and the story was intriguing.
I liked the suspense, drama, excitement and love.
I really enjoyed the story but the narrator was so void of emotion that I almost stopped listening and bought the book form instead.
Okay seriously you have to have been introduced to the Lords of the Underworld to really enjoy this book. Not to say you can't enjoy this one as a standalone or the start of something new, but the humor of some of the characters may be lost on you. And of course some may find Max's narration a bit off key. The world of demons and angels is introduced to you in the Lord of the Underworld series and not having that back ground, you may fine yourself a little off kilter in this book as it moves along. But the story itself is a good and worth the listen.
