I'm trying to wean myself and learn to function without earbuds for more than ten minutes at a time. It hasn't been easy. I lose balance...
I can't even get through it. I feel sad about it, but while Chris might be a good actor and potentially a fine writer - his rushed read just didn't cut it for me. Maybe i'm just spoiled from really fabulous performances but I honestly gave up after four chapters.
I loved this book so much. I had herd of the series but I never really thought to try it. I got so in to the book that I would come home and pull out the book to follow along.
This book is so so good!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Love!!! I would recommend TLOS to everyone who enjoys a good read! It brought back my love for fairy tales! Chris narrates it perfectly. He has a different voice for almost each character that helps you feel what or how the character is feeling. No one could narrate this series like him. The story to me is well written and at times had me at the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happens next. Plus a lot of the characters are so relatable you get connected to the story even more!
I like to read YA fantasy but this book is really for little kids.
The performance was awful. Perhaps a professional could make this more tolerable.
I believe the author read the book. Went way too fast--no acting ability whatsoever.
Really doesn't matter.
A lesson in how professional narration could make a difference.
Chris Colfer has a wonderful imagination. He has taken classic fairytales and given them his own unique twist. I particularly enjoyed the morales he took from each story; it's not just about princesses being recued by a prince. His sense of humor (played out through Conner) were little gems hidden throughout. It was addictive to listen to as Chris Colfer does a excellent job voicing the characters. I would recommend this audio book to everyone, regardless of age. It's not just for children.
