One of the top 5 out of many I have in my audible library
Hard to choose, I would say when Will is born the love and determination that Will's Mother had to make sure someone would know he was loved
No this was the first but she nailed it
When he found out the love of a mother was always watching over him , and he was never really abandoned
Great book from beginning to end . I'm going to listen again soon , I always find things I missed in the first listen . Use your bookmarks to keep up with characters names and what role they play in the beginning , the story winds it's tale switching from the past to present
The author captivates all your senses from the get go. I felt I was in it.. The story and plot were not the typical thriller-mystery. Strong female characters, really kept me sucked in...LOVE IT.
This book started out a little slow but did pick up momentum and became riveting. Just about the time I thought the book a bit boring it took off. I enjoyed the rest of the story which was full of surprises.
Mom of 3 saved by her audiobook addiction!
Absolutely. Karen Slaughter is an amazing writer, and a fabulous story teller.
The complexity, and not knowing what would come next. And the way she built the character profiles.
I didn't realize this was a series so this is the first book I read, but I will go back and read them from the beginning.
This book was graphically intense, and some scenes were horrifying in detail, but it is also what made it such a great book. Not for young readers, or those who can't handle gory details of a sadistic mind. It scared me but I couldn't stop reading.
This story is good - not too many twists and turns, but there are many faces which allows for a lot of exposition. Switching between past and present is engaging and makes for good character development. It's a pretty violent story, so be aware of that, but overall very entertaining.
The actress who reads this books did a great job, too - there were no distractions from her voice or characters; she really did the story justice.
This is the first book I have heard by this author and I am going to find another one. This story kept me wanting to listen as much a possible. It was a darn shame I had to go to work....
Yes- it kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more.
The violence is a bit extreme... the killer does do some very nasty things, so this book may not be for everyone.
I was very disappointed by the story...
Good transition from male to female voices
I would cut several scenes
Tell us about yourself! I am addicted to Audio Books I read them all the time in the car, doing dishes, ironing, What ever.
Have to pay attention details are somewhat gruesome but I love Bones and Kathy Reichs and Patricia Cornwell so that should tell you.
