Loved the narrator, plot and characters. Lots of twists and turns very believeable. I was disappointed in the ending, but I will keep reading ms french.
Great voice and performance.
This was a great series. Each book is so different and not just more of the same. Lots of twists and turns. Loved it!
Predictable, but I liked the way the story developed. That Dublin Murder Squad would be unmanned if a (remotely) normal childhood was an employment requirement.
Interesting story, Tana French is a very good popular writer, with nice visual images and strong writing. This was a VERY long book, which is not a bad thing in my opinion, but there's a lot of main character reflection (done in the first person, which is fine), which I found a little tedious. Still kept my interest, though.
Great Story and very interesting. Love the characters and the location of story.
In The Woods
Discription of location and keeps you guessing.
Great listen and the the audible reader and accent.
Right up there at the top - story lines are great and performances wonderful by this author! I am going back to read the first two... a friend loaned me Faithful Place and I was not sure I'd like this as this was about a character I did not like a lot in that book, but it was excellent!
The character development and histories of all the characters woven in the story kept it completely interesting...
It is authentic - right down to the accent. He keeps you engaged.
It is too long for that! I listed while traveling for work, and found myself really looking forward to the longer commutes so I could get more reading time!
I would recommend Tara French to anyone who enjoys a good murder mystery, especially if they (as I am..) are partial to British, Scottish, Irish or the Scandinavian authors.
The main character, playing an undercover cop struggled with her role. Truly becoming a part of the circle of friends she was infiltrating. They, oddly filled a void in her life. But while there was this dark complexity, the story moved you into her plight and kept you there. Experiencing the same ambiguities she had.
Great series. The author "showcases" one member of the Murder Squad in each book.
Instead of the urge to listen in one sitting, I loved "living with" the characters over a period.
No. I have yet to listen to a book again and don't read them again since childhood.
All her characters are flawed even though you identify with them.
Yes but too long for this to be realistic.
This can be listened to without listening to the rest of the series.
The narrator and the principal character, Mike Kennedy.
His reminiscences of his childhood times.
