Retired 35 year policeman from So CA, relocated with my wife to South Carolina with "Toby" our cat. I listen to two books a week
Again, no? many more quality book to listen to.
Characters as always are expertly written
He is the characters
no, little at a time was perfect
This ain't Ludlum. Makes you wonder how much this guy paid to rent the name. This is a collection of overly-worded preposterous banalities, poorly read. Saturday morning cartoons are less insulting to the intellect..
refrained from writing it.
There is no end to the negatives. As much as it was possible, he destroyed a bad book
yes, all three, I think.
Tell this "reader" ,and I use the term loosely, that vaudevillian melodrama is like so yesterday.
Loved the story the action the twists and turns and Bourne survives again. This book reads more like a Movie Script than a Novel. All the detailed descriptions of the chases and escapes were excessive. However; it was a strap yourself in and lets go for a typical Bourne ride.... exciting, entertaining and riveting. Van Lustbader does well to keep Bourne fresh and relevant which is quite an accomplishment.
Holter Grahams performance was disappointing. Bourne needs a strong performance, he sounded like a teenager narrating. If it wasn't a Bourne novel I couldn't have listened for long.
How bad can 1 book be? I tried, I really did, what a snoozer!
Dont waste your hard earned money!
Poor narration and difficult plot to follow. I gave up.
I won't get another Borne
I'm no prude, but this book was one orgy after another, and the plot was weak. We could not follow the characters or the sub-characters by word or sound. We could not stand to finish this trash. Two hours was all the torture we could take.
One of the classics of literature so I can erase this trash from my mind.
A third grader with a speech impediment.
Everything after the title page.
This is the second time I've made the mistake of starting one of these fake-Ludlum books, I will never make that mistake again.
Hard to track.
Many great characters, just a few too many.
The performance was really first rate with Spanish and Chinese accents done just right.
Good... but in audio book form, it is difficult to keep all the characters and story lines straight. In a paper book, or even an e-book, you can page back to remind yourself of who a character is. This book has several sub-plots progressing at the same time and switches back and forth a lot. That, coupled with so many characters, makes it difficult to keep them all straight. This is especially true if you only have time to listen in short sessions.
