The twist and suspense
Nick - he played the part well and figured out what was going on
Amy very smart and crazy all at the same time
When Amys truths began to surface about Desi and Hillary.
Good easy read the ending could have been better however I enjoyed the book.
I am a business owner, a single Mom, & a lifelong book addict. I hope to fuel my 7 yr. old daughter's passion for books while I feed my own!
If you have seen the movie, but not heard THESE performances, you are missing out! Kirby Heyborne gives an incredibly emotional performance, whereas Julia Whelan must have had ice in her veins. Gillian Flynn's novel is incredible on its own, BUT, by far the best way to experience this twisted, dark tale is with earbuds!
This was a fun read. It was a good mystery novel. It kept my interest. It was light listening though compared with some
More intense novels of this genre.
An avid reader, demanding of the story, characters and narrator. Mysteries and historical fiction are my favorites.
You all know what this book is about since it is now a major film. But I hope you don't know the complete plot. I didn't have any idea what was really going on, and I had no idea how it would end, until I listened to the book, I am glad to say.
Ms. Flynn builds the story one step and a time, one brick after another. There is nothing missing, nothing skipped over. It would be a great book for a class on fiction-writing or story-telling.
When the audio books begins, you may groan at the peppy voice of Kirby Heyborne, but hold on for a bit. It gets better. In fact, I am sure that Heyborne was intentionally annoying at the beginning to emphasize his character's journey.
Worth reading? Yes.
The best book ever? No.
Very well written. I was completely absorbed in this suspense filled story. Every page moves the story forward and it keeps getting better & better.
Yes. Every chapter brought a new perspective in light and it never got boring at all.
WIFE GONE MISSING
Definitely! It is a CRAZY story you will not be able to stop listening to.... always wanting to know what is next and when it seems predictable, a new twist happens!
Similar to Goldfinch but different in many ways... :-)
When Nick gets to know Amy for the first time...
Glad I didnt waste money going to the movies to see it. Too boring.
Would scrap the entire book
Want my return credit for it!
I enjoyed the story and the intensity of the plot.
I enjoyed both narrators immensely.
Loved listening to the story from both lead character's perspective.
I recently watched the movie and was not disappointed. It did a good job of following the book.
Lots of twists and turns which are a big plus for me. Third book by this author and it won't be my last.
It's too long, but is an interesting book.
The performers were good. It had plenty of tricky plots.
They make it more interesting than it would be if I read it.
When I found out she had set up her disappearance.
Interesting book, but much of it could've been eliminated. I didn't like the Amy character. She was strange from the very beginning of the book. At times, I forwarded through the chapters that she was in because she was annoying.
