It's so good. I love that there are two narrators. Fantastic writing and the story is exceptional. I was surprised often and angered and wished for a sequel. Do it.
I would recommend this, even though I was skeptical at first. I bought it to listen on car trips with my fiancé, after she read the book in her book club.
Probably it would be Go, because while she seems clueless, she's not a sociopath like most of the others.
I'm having a hard time coming up with a favorite scene, there were so many moments where I just thought, "did they really just do that?"
Appearances, and the media, are deceiving
Possible spoilers warning: The book was an example of showing how some in the media with no journalistic integrity can sway public opinion based on flimsy evidence. Even though the husband was a slimeball who was doing extramarital things, he wasn't tried in court nor was he proven to be a murderer.
I loved the writing style, and the story sucked me in quickly. It's been a long time since I've listened to a book that had me on the edge of my seat. I didn't care for the ending; it seemed like it just dropped off. I went back to make sure I hadn't skipped a chapter.
My husband liked reading the book and I listened to it. He liked it and I wanted to read it before watching the movie. I just thought the book was awfully long. I also got tired of hearing the readers talk like the opposite sex so much.
Not a bad book.
Holy crap! This book is amazing. I didn't expect half of it, and I was seriously creeped out the other half! I have a new favorite book!
Long book to listen to. I almost wish I had read it. It'll keep you wanting more though. Didn't love the male narrators voice-- I didn't think it suited the main character. Amy's narrator was perfect. Don't wait, read or listen to it either way.
At first I was thinking this is going to be predictable and it wasn't, right up to the end!
When Amy gets real.
No. They did a very good job.
After the beginning, I did want to keep listening until the end.
The ending made me feel disgusted, not predictable though.
The character Go, was very likable. A great twist would be if she was the killer at the very end.
