I like this series but this book is not worth two credits.
All this issues with couple problems. Who cares if the cops are divorced or not should not be part of the story line.
I have listened to this book 3 times so far and will do so again. I love the series, and the speaker is wonderful!
All the characters.
When things are good don't poke at them! You may not like what falls out!
DISAPPOINTED/// BULLET BOOK 19 WAS DISAPPOINTING UNFORTUNATELY THIS ONE WAS WORST. IT WAS A WASTE OF MY CREDIT ! KISS THE DEAD WAS DISAPPOINTING.
to have bought a different book
Relied less on sex and actually have written a story.
I am an Anita Blake fan. I enjoyed it, the reader was GREAT
Love the background sounds,
Gives it more life and a better idea than just reading it
NO I WILL TRY HER NEXT BOOK AND HOPE IT WILL BE LESS PORN AND MORE STORY LIKE THE BEGINING OF THIS SERIES
remove the background mood music. I am hearing impaired and it made it very difficult to hear the narrator. I can hear voices with ear covering headphones, but the added music made it very difficult to hear clear enough.
solid, clear voiced (when not competing with music)
I sincerely hope that this is not the new trend in audiobooks. If it is, it needs to be an option and not the only version available.
Love to read!
I have really enjoyed the Anita Blake series, but find myself getting a little bored with it. This book was pretty typical for the series, with nothing really new. It wasn't bad or boring, just nothing exceptional. If you have never read a book from this series, you really need to start with book 1 or one of the earlier books.
Sylvia & Al Moody
To some I would. I would be embarrassed to recommend it to others.
The first half of the book relates to the style of the first 5 book in the series. No metaphysical sex. The second half regresses to her more current style.
She is great! No negatives.
I get bored with Hamilton's sex scenes and up the speed of the playback through them. The detailed description is not needed for the story and is repetitive.
I like fiction(Rick Riordan),sci-fi(Orson S. Card), and vampires and werewolfs(LK Hamilton) to name a few.
I've physically read every book up till this book and the book prior and while I honestly enjoyed the narrators depiction of Anita in the last book while she was away from home now that she is home with her menagerie of men...i want to throttle her(and not in a sexy rough way). She audibly rapes the listeners ears for over half the male cast(and all you long time readers know that the MALE cast has grown significantly). I particularly cringe like it's nails on a chalkboard every time she tries to use "her" Micah voice. She gave him this bad BAAAAAAD attempt at a woman trying to do a stereotypical Scottish accent and it pulled me out of the book like a high speed car impact every time he came into a scene. Love the series and if she's the narrator for the next one then I'm just going to go back to the paper version if I'm going to be able to enjoy it without pain again.
The best long term supernatural lover/killer is back and this time the threat is too close to home...it's bad narration!
