The Storm was a slow starter unlike Clive Cusslers other books. It seemed it did not pickup until the middle of the book. Once it started it was action packed. Mr. Cussler is a writer that thinks outside the box with twists and turns you can't imagine. I don't know how he comes up with his ideas but they are great.
OKay. Not Great Fiction, basic Cussler action adventure. Not bad. But, do I remember it a day later? Nope. Feels like he's cranking out these adventure tales without real passion anymore.
No. It was mostly what I expected.. maybe a tad less.
Oh it could be a TV movie of the week. No one big...
Clive Cussler has written a LOT of adventure books. A Lot. A Shoot-load. A mountain. A vast amount of pulp action... and this one is a light , fun, read (listen) with out much to make you think too hard, and nothing to keep you remembering it later. Is he just cranking them out now? Gosh, I dunno... maybe... Is his heart and passion fully engaged in this one? Maybe not. It's...not bad, but not great.
sports announcer, cyclist, enjoys to travel and the outdoors.
Wow, this book was worth the wait. The past couple Kurt Austin books have not been as good as some in the past or Dirk books. But this one is very well done, Kurt and Joe and the trouts go it alone. lots of good adventure and fun stuff as always. Thank you Mr Cussler for putting some time into this book and not just pumping out another one. Scott Brick is the voice of audio books, by far the best and I would love an opportunity to meet him some day. As a Public Address Announcer I can announce a sporting game but I cant imagine what it takes to have the voice and ability to deliever such a great read time and time again. / J Evans columbus Ohio
Really enjoyed the story, but felt like it took a while to get going
Twists and turns
Slow, uninterested, sanitised
Sadly not once I had started
older listener -- enjoys books rather than california traffic. enjoys running while listening -- or is it the other way around?
isnt the day of the super hero finally over
Yes, finally. Looking for story lines now and intricate plots -- not one disastor after another in which you already know the hero wins the day
Scott is good ... nothing
well it wasnt worth my time
The narrator was excellent however the story was full of unbelievable discrepancies and errors.
