This is a book about a man that had to get to the lowest low, so he could climb to the top and excel.y
retired naval chief warrant officer. live in henderson nv and portland or,
Just a wonderful story and book about a special but also ordinary person who overcame many obstacles and demons to become a terrific father and husband and a special SEAL.
It was a great book, flowed very well. i loved the information about Adam Brown's life. I thought the narration was great and brought life to the story.
I'm not a big biography person. However, in an email someone shared with me they mentioned this book and how it encouraged them to be a better man. So I listened. This book is WAY more than that. The author stays true to man and stories he conveys and I indeed was encouraged. I highly recommend this book to anyone.
The Author did a very good job of not inserting his own views but simply telling the story as it is. The story was a full autobiography and not just an account of service time or specific battles. It is an amazing story of someone who hit rock bottom and yet was able to climb above that to achieve greatness. An excellent read!!!
I love books with significance
We laughed, cried and applauded. A wonderfully written book. If someone you love has struggled with drugs you need to read this book of recovery and success. Not only did it cover the war it also covered the home front.
A MUST LISTEN
The ending offered the action that I was hoping to listen about. Having served in the military I could relate to the ongoings of the various emotions the families were feeling as well as the military personal.
He did great with various voices.
I didn't cry but it did bring some feelings of lost brothers in arms.
