I liked the personal background of Adam Brown. He clearly struggled much in life but was a better man for it.
Performance was Ok. I did not like the voices he used for the other characters. That didn't add much.
I thought the story of his final mission in Afghanistan should have had more substance to it. He clearly did an heroic thing but the description seemed to short.
After listening to many books, this is the first time I've been compelled to write a review. Fearless is an amazing story of Navy Seal Team 6 Operator, Adam Brown. Eric Blehm did a wonderful job telling Adam's story and his legacy of faith, family and patriotism. I believe that Paul Michael is one of the best narrators in the business and his delivery of Fearless is second to none. You will not be disappointed with this book.
"I got it"
Cry, the moments when Adam's body is returned, the images of the ceremonies and respect paid to him couldn't keep anyone dry!
Special in so many levels, feel I know the family as good friends.
As a Veteran, this is a GREAT Book. I will not say anymore, other than you will not be disappointed. This person was special.
Must listen, awesome man, moving and guided me back to where I belong
Adam.. Character, faith
Narrated is excellent!!!!!!! Story is awesome and amazing. I was crying like a baby throughout the story. RIP Adam Brown. The interview at the end with the author was great as well!!
It is one of the best books. Except for the reader's girl voices I felt like I knew Adam Brown and his friends were right by me.
Adam Brown obviously! He kicks butt and is a great man at the same time!
Remarkable story of a true American HERO! (had to be said and 3 words wasn't enough)
Inside the life of a Navy SEAL. A story of triumph in life and death with unfailing faith. A true American Hero that shows you victory through his failures. A story so well written that by the end, you feel as though you lost a friend.
First Paul Michael performance and it was great.
The entire book.
One of the best books I've read. Adam Brown was a true American Hero and the title says it all "Fearless". The world has lost a truly great person.
Simply the best real story I have ever read. Not sure how Adam Brown did what he did but he did it very well.
The book is odd in that it doesn't give endless detailed battle stories like the other combat books. This book only has one chapter about combat and that's all that was needed.
The rest is about what type of man is willing to devote his life to being the best that he can be. That sounds like a cliché but in this case it's very true and more to the point but is very humbling.
People like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and the like get the headlines but even with what they have accomplished it pales in comparison to Adam Brown.
I could go on but please read this book, get through to the last 4 chapters, read them in private, have a good cry and when your finished, thank the individuals in your armed forces. It doesn't matter if your from Canada, Britain or any other nation, thank them because we all have Adam Browns in our countries armed forces and they do more then we can ever imagine and thank God they do it for us.
Thank you Adam for your service and thank you for letting your family story to be told.
The narration is excellent and Eric's writing will make you feel like you really know Eric, Kelley and his friends. It's uplifting, poignant and will make you cry. However, reading/hearing Adam's story will make you want to go out and do more with your life. There's also a nice interview with Eric at the end of the book.
