This book has tons of great information and most of it is narrated as lists. So, everytime I felt how will I remember the 1 to 10 (or 1 to 7) things said here. I wish Michael had some more examples which would have made me remember the points better (which I know he would have had many because of his experience).
Last but not the least, there are a lot of very valuable references, so to make the book more relevant in the audio format, I would like to have a chapter by chapter list of references (books, websites etc) that he has mentioned. I am sure this will add a lot of value.
as a professional blogger since dec 2009 I just finished this book and it was in many ways a review of the tactics I currently employ in my own career but it was a nice refresher course and would be a great starting place for the beginner

Platform was within the top 5 audio books I have listened to thus far.
I appreciated the practical tools and explanation of Michaels approach to social media and blogging.
Michael Hyatt does a great job of breaking down into logical, sequential steps, exactly what it takes to develop and maintain an effective platform. There is so much valuable information in this book!
Read by the author. Captivates your attention.
No. This was my first listen.
The book itself is not a novel, so doesn't really "move you" per se.... That said, it does a great job at fulfilling the intended purpose of informing readers how to develop their own platform effectively.
I've purchased the hard copy book as well so I can sift through all of this valuable information over time and continue to use it as a reference for developing my own platform. Great book!
I might listen to it again. Great content with many practical and tangible points to guide your platform development. Some parts on the design and social media usage are too basic for many, but I'm sure it will help real beginners.
Crush It - Gary Vaynerchuck beacuse it inspires you to create better work.
He understood what he was saying since he wrote it.
How to develop a platform.
It moved along great and Micheal is a great reader. Clear and articulate made it easy to listen to.
No, I had to break it up in order to stay engaged. While the reading of it was great and it moved along great, the information was tedious and became just a lot of information. I would have to stop and give myself a break to be engaged again.
The information was good, but not real informative. It was however a great refresher and motivator to get back to doing things that you've let slip.
It needs more interaction. It a boring audio but. I did buy the book. it has great instructions and insides. But its just that, an instruction book. So as an audio book...I don't recommend it. As a book, its a must have to build your platform....
Tom Hopkins the art of selling anything.
Don't take this wrong, the book is good. The audio book does not work for me.
Social and Profit are keywords in my life! How to combine the two is what gets me going every day. Husband of the most adorable, father of 3
Platform is in the top 3 books of 'how-to' books, concerning Social Media, blogging and over-all self-publishing advise
Each chapter gives great tips on how to improve the channel to your tribe
The book gives every person serious about building a channel to his tribe GREAT tips - from the started to the pro.
Smart thing with this book: in two years you can re-write and make it all relevant again. I would buy it in a heart-beat.
Businessman, Technologist, Marketer. Loves to learn and enjoys books. Mostly nonfiction plus historic novels.
This is a good book, don't get me wrong, but it did not deliver what i was expecting. Maybe I read the description wrong, I was hoping for Michael Hyatt to provide a guide on how to become a thought leader and how to get noticed. The book focuses on the tactics of setting up a blog, how to promote your books, how to do guest posts. All of this is useful information, delivered in an effective way with lots of examples and I did get an idea or two from the book. But it left me wanting to know about how to build the knowledge, the ideas, the though leadership that is the foundation. You can set up the best blog and have the best promotional program, but if your content sucks, you will suck too. There is no magic bullet, of course, but at least he could have offered ideas or, what I was expecting, a framework about how to organize your ideas and thoughts into ways that make them easier to consume by your audience - how to transform a lot of little good ideas and good thoughts into a thought leadership PLATFORM.
Conclusion, could be a good book depending on what you need.
Perhaps this is because I am not a beginner at running a business online, but this all seemed very basic to me.
