I'\ve already recommended this book to a number of people. It contains a lot of information that you simply won't hear on CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, etc.
I appreciated how well-researched the narrative was. The author interviewed countless people for this book (with Rev. Jeremiah Wright being the big prize), and he let the quotes from those individuals tell the story.
I liked the way the narrator changed his voice when he was reading quotes from other people. Nicely done.
The reason I listen to the audio version is I drive a LOT.
This is a good read for those who are interested in knowing this President off camera!
The title says it all. The book sets out to show not that Obama is a bad president but more that he has no experience and has surrounded himself with the staff that do not resolve the problem.
Say something about yourself!
Yes, one has to read it with an open mind
Conservative writer but gave the liberal perpective too
Yes women seem to influence Mr Obamas decision making. It also seems that there was
Islamic teachings in his childhood that was not mentioned in Mr. Obama's Political biogrphy. He became a christan as an adult. Not that that should matter but living in both worlds myself there is a particular mindset between the two faiths.
A good read, be opened minded
Well wriiten, interesting, well documented fact based book on the amazing, non-sensical, meteoric rise of the unqualified bum that is Barack Obama.
Learning about the inner circle of advisors. It was astonishing to see the amateurism of his entire staff, not just himself.
By getting to know the people he brought from Chicago and their backgrounds, it makes it easier to understand the decisions (or lack thereof) that he's made along the way.
I don't think there was a single "big" moment, but the impression I came away with was seeing a person who is far more narcissistic than I had imagined. I also got the impression that Obama just WANTED to be president, but doesn't really LIKE being president or having to make the tough decisions and compromises necessary to be successful. I also realized that Obama has changed the norm for the Democratic party. His extreme left bent makes it almost impossible to craft compromises, even though he doesn't seek compromise anyways. The current Bill Clinton comments that contradict Obama policy are almost predicted by this book. Everything highlighted in this book is still in the news to this day.
I didn't know Valerie Jarrett was black!!
everyone should read this book before they vote this November.
Interveiwed many people, so you are not getting just one persons point of view.
I think the title says it all.
Throughout the entire book I kept thinking, "I hope it's not too late to save our country". He's not only an incompetent amateur, he's a dangerous amateur. His narcissism runs so deep, what's best for this country runs a distant second.
The many people interviewed that gave similar accounts about Barry.
The beginning with Bill and Hillary Clinton going back and forth about running against Barry.
The spoken word. The re-telling of interviewees quotes.
The section about Michelle and Oprah is a classic.
I'll recommend this to everyone.
Interesting, revealing, necessary
The depth of the research and the level of detail provided to back up the information.
Why is he the president?
This should be required listening/reading for everyone in this country, to the left or the right. We need to know what we've gotten ourselves into to avoid it happening EVERY again.
