Fun, romantic, worthwhile
All of them were good. She's a great narrator.
It made me laugh out loud sometimes, the humor really comes through. I enjoyed all of the characters.
I love Epic Fantasy....have become a Historical Romance fan because I am a sucker for a good Happily Ever After. Good characters are a must
Kirsten Potter is AMAZING!!!! She brings the story to life! She is one of the BEST NARRATORS I have heard in a long time!
This was a good final book in the trilogy and it packaged the series up with a nice bow! I enjoyed it tremendously.
Hello, my name is Teresa and I'm an addict.
Not as good as the first book, but I enjoyed it. The narrator does a great job and I am excited for the next book. The heroine in this book was feisty but it seemed like she didn't stick up for herself very much when it counted. Of course all the other characters respected her for that, but It made me feel that her character was lacking slightly. But that was a slight annoyance overall a good addition to the series, but it needs to be read in order.
Good story. I enjoy historical fiction but it seldom brings a tear to my eye like this one did. I thought it was an excellent story. I also enjoyed hearing more about the characters from the first story as well the development of more characters in this second book of the series.
I'm a fantasy book hoarder!! :-) I am a mother of two small beautful childeren and my books are my way of getting away for a little break!!!

Nurse, mom, loved to read....but now I love to listen. When I retire I hope to hear waves crashing in 1 ear and audible in the other!
I have not read the printed version...but a listen to any book is much better than reading it now that I have found Audible!
It's your basic scottish love story with ups and downs, sadness with a good outcome.
The entire book was good.
Of course the part where I cried...you will know it when you hear it!
Read the entire trilogy in order.
Yes, but I would suggest she read the series in order. This is book 2 in the series. Maya Banks is such a good writer. I love and HAVE all her highlander books. Kirsten Potter is one of the best narrators that I have every listened to. She gives each character their own sound. She has one of the best scottish burrs!
Everything! . She describes everything so well that I felt like I was there or at least was watching a movie.
When Aleric took Kaylee to the rock by the sea when she was so sick. I cried through the whole scene.
I did - twice!
I love most all highland love stories. I love alpha men, which highlanders seem to be. They are such strong characters, they love their woman so deeply yet they don't let their love make them less strong. It only enhances their personalities. I hated when it ended, I wanted it to go on and on.
No spoilers! Love HOT, sexy books w/a plot. No vampires, paranormal, teens 4 me. I also review in exchange for books-lots of fun surprises!
Yes, I love the accents!
I cannot say, this book kept me on the edge - not knowing - until the very end!
No, not before this series. She is great!
I don't usually have extreme reactions to books however, this one came the closest to making me tear up!
As my title noted-I don't go for 'historical romances' however, I love Maya Banks and since this was on sale I thought I'd give this a try. I love this series and look forward to her other Scottish series.
A Book Worm
I really enjoyed the first book in this series, thus my expectations for book 2 was not very high. In my experience very few authors devote as much attention to books 2 and 3 in a series as they do to book 1. Not so with Maya's McCabe series. Alaric and Keeley's story touched every inch of my heart. Their story caused laughter and a great many tears. I don't remember the telling of a story touching me so. I felt every bit of pain they felt leading up to their separation.
The narrator did a wonderful job. During the telling of book 1, when speaking as a gentleman she often sounded like a bad Dracula imitation. But her dialect improved greatly during book 1 and was impeckable during book 2.
I'm going to start book 3 now and I'm looking forward to the adventure.
