Single mother of 4 children, love to read /listen to books. Love mystery, supernatural, and romance.
I of course absolutely love all of the books from the Mortal Instruments series but City of Lost Souls is without doubt my favorite one. I love the fued between Clarissa and her brother Johnathan. There fight at there fathers magical house, epic! Had me sitting up with very eager ears the whole time. His sick love for her was a twist that had me reeling. There bonding moments were just completely adorable and sad. Love every single word that I listened to.
The story is as facinating as the other books. But the voice of the narrator is so boring and wining, that it was difficult to keep the concentration on the story. What a pity.
You could play a drinking game with the word incredulous, as many times as it shows up in these books expecially this one. Narration was a little better but not as good as books 1-3.
The book was great but the app kept stopping I loved the way you put Jonathan as lilths son and he has posses jace!!!!!!!!
just a Truck Driver with nothing to do but listen to books
The author should have stopped two books ago instead of bad story development. she made everyone look like idiots in the book
I fell in love with Clary for her strength and her ability to think through a problem - after she got herself into trouble - in the previous books but this one she seemed like a whiny person. All the characters appeared to take on whiny qualities which made me roll my eyes numerous times and stop the book. It's also as if there was more focus on the details and side stories than getting to the point. If you have to finish the series or you bought the book and don't want to waste your money then by all means listen but be forewarned it's not the Clary, Jace, Simon, Alec or Isabelle from previous books.
I loved all of the Mortal Instrument books and enjoyed getting into the story a lot. Cassandra Clare managed to create a world which I could well picture in my mind and I couldn't wait to hear how the story continued.
The readings of all books were very well and brought life into them. I had to get used to a new voice in a new book, but they all did a great job!
