There is nothing better than a good book!
I purchased this after I read the the book. And.....I enjoyed it so much more! It is the kind of story that stirs up every emotion we have inside- joy, anger, sadness, excitement, humor, contentment, etc.... It is full of witty dialogue, heart-wrenching decisions, and life lessons....given to us honestly and simply by man's best friend, a dog.
This is a must-have for my fellow dog lovers who believe that life isn't complete without a faithful canine by your side!
If you read/listened to A Dog's Purpose, by Bruce Cameron and enjoyed it, this is a natural next step in the story. It is a similar story, yet it has nicely evolved into its own story. It takes us once again on the sometimes heart-wrenching story of our love of our dogs and the loss of our pet! The story revolves around one woman as she starts life as a baby and how her dog, follows her through her life, helping her when needed and their eternal bond. Narration is great and the story is heart warming and endearing, sad and at the same time redeeming. If you like your dog and wonder what he's thinking, Cameron gives you some insight to what may be going on with our furry friends! Good read, good listen!
“I am the wife to a wonderful man, the mom to two sweet doggie boys. I'm all about the dog stories fiction or non!
I would, and I just might. This was a perfect continuation of the A Dog's Purpose... Interwoven and just captivating. I didn't want it to end. All of the small details that went into this book are amazing. Things you had to think about, and then things that made you giggle uncontrollably! LOVED IT!
The end when he/she finally got to go to be with all those he/she had loved!
I think they were all good, but MAX and his big attitude was kind of special!
Yes, I listen to books in the car on the way to and from work. I could not wait to get in the car to get back to it.
I loved this book, just as much as the first book. This tale of the unconditional love of a dog shows the known true colors of a dog being a guardian, protector, and companion. Anyone who loves dogs should read this book; instead of seeing through the human point of view, enjoy seeing through the dog point of view filled with the humor and reality of life, unfolding for us to see in the eyes of the protagonist. I believe any doglover would enjoy this book, if they are as crazy about animals as I am :)
saw the movie with family... being that "we" are animal lovers it was very emotional for us... when I saw " A Dog's Purpose" was available on auto I couldn't get it in my library fast enough... then I added "A Dog's Journey" some have stated in their reviews that this was NOT as "good" as the first... in my opinion it is and more... a pet, be it dog or frog, gets in your heart and for some reason it affects you in ways you would never understand... and Mr. Cameron captures that relationship beyond words that I could give any justice.... now about the Narrator.... some books can be "killed" with the wrong narrator.. that did NOT happen with this book ( and book one) it was like you were listening to Max, Mali, and Tobie really tell his/her story.. it made the book real... and you look at the dogs ( and other your other pets) that you have had the privilege of having in your life a different way.... yes they become part of your family but you never think that YOU become part of theirs...
Officially one of my all-time favorite books! I cannot imagine a better performance. Dare I say, this book is life-changing. I didn't think it was possible to love my own little pup more than I already do, but this story has helped me to even have a deeper love for him.
This might be the single greatest book I've ever read. Read this after A Dogs purpose and they make the most emotional book ever.
the sequel to A Dog's Purpose is an excellent and then to a beautiful story. Loved both books and highly recommend them to any person dog lover or not.
